There's always going to be flavors for baking and candy making. LorAnn's isn't going anywhere. Capella isn't going anywhere. TFA isn't going anywhere. These have been around long before vaping and DIY.
But they can make them add stuff that vapers wouldn't want like the original food flavors had oils and alcohol.

I think there is going to be a distinction between signature required and adult signature required on how they handle delivery, more likely to get your adult signature? If USPS performance is any indicator there will be no consistency. My mail carrier would never leave a signature required package if it wasn't signed for by someone here, just a notice on the door.

This may depend on the area. I ordered a $1300 video card that came adult signature required. I live in a low crime rural area but wasn’t gonna leave it sitting around so since mail comes around same time I sat and waited in the breezeway for its arrival, was dropped off no questions or signature.

eta: Of course that dream was based on what nic prices used to be..

Nic prices haven't gone up. only place I know of that raised prices was Caroline Extract, by about $10 a liter. Everyone else that's still shipping/selling to consumers has the same priced they had last year. See here. LNW didn't raise their price, they just stopped selling anything less than 5 gallons in their house brand. But now they went B2B only.

Well whaddaya know. Just got done checking prices today and DIY Flavor Shack increased their nic prices 30%. That makes 2 vendors I know of now that increased nic prices - them and Carolina Xtract

They probably increased prices due to they have to pay taxes now. The PACT act requires entities to pay the required taxes/and consumers. All PACT related items must be reported to ATF. The law was signed Dec 27 2020 and they had 90 days to comply. Hence, why most vendors used March 27th as the cut of date. However, I feel a lot of folks do not know. I read here on ecf where someone states that vendors have to go back years and report (track and trace) folks who made online purchases. They don't realize that they are opening themselves up for a lawsuit. According to the pact act it starts on March 27/28th. (Reporting sales to ATF) I suggest folks actually read the PACT act (vendors who are still around) and understand it. Maybe hire a lawyer.

A little reading in regards to the pact act..

That's possible, that and PG price increased due to scarcity.

But most vendors who I've seen that are charging taxes are showing the tax as a line item in the cart/invoice, which is generally required practice by govt entities.

So without a line item for taxes, I can only deduce/report as a price increase on my list of nic vendors/nic prices.

The vapor tax is not a federal tax but some states have it. So it doesn't make sense to raise prices to offset a tax that only occurs for some transactions. The tax rate would vary by state as well. I believe that @UncleJunkle has it right that it is a line item charge for those whose states have such a tax.

I've not heard that. .. I've just been picking up PG locally at Tractor Supply.. maybe I'll have to stop in and check to see if the price has increased there.

No, it's still cheaper there than at the nicotine shops and Amazon. It seems a lot of people are snobbish about PG labeled for animal use. Not me. I'd use it.

Heartlandvapes and NudeNicotine have gone out of stock on PG and PG-based nic in the last 3-4 weeks. In fact, heartland still isn't selling any PG or PG-based nic.

    Heartland email on 3-15
Keep an eye on our website. The Propylene Glycol market is currently volatile. Logistic and manufacturing companies are backed up due to the pandemic and weather interruptions. This is causing a global supply issue and significant cost increase of product.

Even if they did (which I doubt they will) nothing will ever come of it retroactively unless mass quantities were purchased by other obvious vendors. It’s just far to easy for the defense to be “well I quit and disposed of it” on an end user. So unless you’re buying 55 gallon drums of stuff federal agents aren’t gonna be knocking at the door of someone who purchased a liter of nicotine or a dozen different mods.

I can see this happening to collect sales taxes and vapor taxes (for vapor taxes it would only be for purchases made after the vapor tax was implemented).

Happened to me with cigarettes (sales tax). Penalties and interest will be tacked on. Payment will be due immediately.

I'll worry about it when and if it happens.

Won't affect purchases from China as no Chinese vendor would comply, IMHO. 99% lie on customs forms anyhow.

I was in our local TS store yesterday and they still had gallons of USP Propylene Glycol on the shelf for $24.99.
