I have 2 packages from FT in the pipeline, both using the free epacket option this time.

Neither one of them shows this covid outbreak thing in the tracking. At least not on 17track.

The one that shipped first has been "Arriving Los Angeles" twice now, 6 days apart

Is this 17Track? Mine definitely doesn't look like that, lol. I wish it would, cuz I keep having to click the translate button as it defaults to other than English, even though English is set at the top of the site.

Sometimes I worry - these guys have been airborne for over a week. Maybe all the airports are congested and they're put in a holding pattern for 6-7 days.

Yes, it's 17track. The one I posted tracking for, the tracking # starts with "AQ" (which I've never seen before) while the second shipment starts with "LY", which I have seen before.

I believe that Tracking that starts with "A" means that it is Not Insured

And Tracking that starts with "L" means that it is ePacket.

    But I could be wrong.

Guangzhou battles a potent COVID variant

Guangzhou in southern China imposed travel restrictions and stepped up mass coronavirus testing as the giant metropolis battles a dangerous COVID-19 variant in one of the country's most alarming flare-ups since last summer.

The industrial and trade hub -- the capital of China's most populous Guangdong Province and home to almost 19 million people -- has reported 64 new infections in two weeks since May 21, plus 13 asymptomatic cases. The cluster, which has been traced to a woman from the city's Liwan district, marks the first community outbreak in China of a highly transmissible strain first detected in India...

That's just great (not!). :-x I just ordered about $150 worth of stuff from FT. Now I guess it'll get hung up due to Covid. I already made a couple of small orders from FT just to test the waters after the mail ban was announced. Shipping took anywhere from 5 weeks to 2 weeks to arrive, usually bouncing around China for most of it. I was hoping their postal system was getting back to normal but now it looks like they have more problems.

USPS hasn't got their act together either. Their tracking was never great but now it's nonexistent. The package I received last week still doesn't even show it arriving in the US.

Also, I didn't have a free shipping option from FT on this last order (the one I made today). I was kind of in a hurry when I checked out but the cheapest option I had was $8.05 on just under $150 worth of goods. I just checked again by putting one item in my cart and going to checkout and the free e-packet was an option. Maybe something in my order affected my shipping options. I'm not really concerned about 8 bucks for shipping on $150 order but something was strange about it so I thought I'd mention it. I just hope FT continues shipping to the US after the ban hammer falls. I've almost gotten used to the gift certificate dance now.

If anything you ordered has an internal battery that is probably why shipping was higher.

Free e-packet shipping has a weight limit of 2kg. (4.4lbs)
What is the weight limit for ePacket packages? How big can they be?

My last delivery from Health Cabin was an "AQ." Also have 2 in progress from FT. All three are China Post and give the same origin, "Dongguan City, Dongguan International Business Department has been sent, solicitor: He Wu, tel: 15807693320. " I think the AQ denotes that the shipment is being processed through whatever system they have in place to deal with the current crisis. Once the shipments leave Donggan City the "outbreak traffic control" message dissappears from the tracking history.

I have one FT package that shipped the 16th and hasn't updated since the the 19th, is in Guangzhou with the message about a delay due tou outbreak. I paid for upgraded shipping on this package. My second FT, which was free shipping, shipped on the 21st and as of yesterday is in Los Angeles. It went through Dongguan. It had an AQ tracking where as the first had an LY.

Somebody mentioned a Lost Vape Thelma Limited kit, so now I've preordered one from Sourcemore. I hope they actually get them in eventually. I was a bit disappointed in the Drone 250c but I love my Therion BF. The Thelma looks a lot like the Therion (non-squonk version).

I keep seeing stuff I want but don't need. Somebody stop me...please...:D

My ft package hasn't had an update since May 25 and was processed through Guangzhou.
Surprise Surprise usps just informed me the package will be delivered Friday. Fingers crossed I'll get it next week sometime.

Package from Sourcemore, ordered on 18th, and tracking shows that it's out for delivery. The third-party shipping service drops packages off at my local post office, so USPS does nothing but actually take them to my home from my local post office.

Package from California, ordered on the 18th, Priority mail with signature. Nowhere to be found. It's just "late" but "not lost". Who knows when I'll get it? I don't know. It doesn't even show up on Informed Delivery.

This used to happen all of the time, until I stopped ordering anything coming from vendors in California. Too much drama. Every once in a while, I break my own rule and get what I deserve for doing so.

Not that it matters. We'll all be California soon, and we'll soon be doing like the Russian people did for decades, slave away to enrich our politicians and their families, while finding black markets and back doors whenever possible.

Maybe people should think a while about that when they vote, but they won't. They hate their fellow citizens more than they love their own children.

    BTW,

I looked at my post above and wanted to clarify. I don't mind speaking my mind, obviously. Really, all we are is speech, so we might as well be honest for as long as we can speak freely (to the degree in which it is now limited).

I lived in San Diego for quite some time. I love California and I love Californians just as much as anyone else, so I'm not trashing individuals but the system there, which is now the system in DC.

It's not Democrats or Republicans alone to blame for the decline of our institutions. They different sides of same coin. It's both of them. Both are entrenched and established. Both make fortunes for their leaders and their families, creating generational wealth for those leaders, and and occasionally a political dynasty such as with the Kennedys and Bushes arises... in what is supposedly a Representative Republic.

Both parties will NEVER vote for term limits which could potentially break that dynamic.

If a healthy, independent vape market is profitable for these people, they will pass laws promoting it, and spend money on "public service" announcements to get it in the public eye.

If suppression of a healthy, independent vape market so that a few big corporations cornering the market profits them, they will act accordingly, spreading falsehoods, and generating negative emotional responses to it, through the social media organs that they almost completely control now.

In the history of humankind, competence structures are replaced by power structures over time, and it shows in institutions like the USPS, which, although Federal in nature, is more influenced by the state in which it operates. That was my only real dig at California- the bureaucracy there and its ulterior motives.

My point is that most of us voted for these people, and I'll often rant about the postal service in California or the Northeast, but it's all our fault, and much worse is going on than the government deciding winners and losers in the vaping world.

I didn't want to delete my last post, even though after I read it it seemed to be inappropriate for this thread, because I didn't want people to draw the wrong conclusions from my actions, and so I went further down the rabbit hole with this one.

I'm the perfect example of "You can't fix stupid".
