Utilizing Search / Duplicate Threads

I'm not sure exactly where this should go, so plopping it here.

I've just noticed a ton of duplicate threads on many topics, and it leads me to believe there is a lack of searching going on.

Not sure how to encourage it, but keeping threads compacted IMO makes life much simpler, easier to find the desired info and cuts back majorly on clutter.

have you tried to do a search on anything else. The first page always seems to be useless stuff that doesn't even pertain to the item you are searching. The second page is usually better.

I closed and linked the two duplicate threads in Media and General News...thank you.

The others, are all in different forums...Blu, the Canadian Forum...a supplier's forum...
