Flavors don't half gunk up coils, I vape unflavored in the day and then pop in my other coil I use for flavors at night, the unflavored coil lasts twice as long as the other one. I DIY all my juice and find the desert, custard, creams and anything sweet shortens the life of the cotton a lot.

Have you ever tracked how many ml you get from a coil, flavored or un?
I'm pretty happy with 200+ from unflavored.
If I wasn't running with Max VG I would have loaded up some of my Sticky Bun.
That would have disguised that nasty note until it quit wicking. Gunky stuff that Sticky Bun.

I sold my Black Crown for a Silver one, it's just going to look so much better with my setup, kind of gone off black tanks.

.25Ω Crown coil after ~200ml (mostly unflavored or 1/3 flavor Max VG)
It started giving dry hits at 120W
It probably could have lasted another 50+ml but was starting to give a mild nasty note at 80W
Looks pretty damn good for 200+ml high VG IMO

Unflavored, or lightly flavored, is a great way to get extended life.

I sold my Black Crown for a Silver one, it's just going to look so much better with my setup, kind of gone off black tanks.

Well I have 5 SS ones so when I wanted couple more I could not pass up $18 bucks and they only had Black so figured whatever (never been a huge fan of Black tanks), but they look stunning on the Orange Works perfect 2 tanks, 2 Hohm Orange Wreckers and keeps my Ni coils separated from the bunch

I can confirm a new Black Tank with new .25 & Ni coils has given me no more trouble breaking in than my 1st SS tanks/coils from 3 months ago. No burnt or dry hits, nothing funny at all. So I can for myself rule out that new ones are defunct in some way. They seem fine so the rash of recent "issues" are likely just procedure related.

You like the Crown tank then lol. I can confirm for some reason that the Crown works so well with the tfv4 drip tip. Really cools the vape and reduces spit back somehow.

Between the crown and herakles my juice usage has doubled. I am not getting the life out of the coils that I would like, but with all the helpful info in this thread I hope to extend that from days to weeks.

They should be lasting way longer than that, anything from 2 to 3 weeks, even up to a month.
What are you vaping, wattage and how many ml's per day.
If those coils lasted me 5 days I'd sell the tank and buy something else. Something isn't quite right here.

I'm using a house juice from a b&m. Kiwi, green apple, and blueberry. It is crystal clear. About 15-20 mls a day at 80-85 watts.

thats insane... something is wrong... no way those coils shoud be going out that quick.

Oh and I love the orange mod. the label, not so much. Id have to ditch that logo, but the mod looks great.

@EverPresentNoob I've just bought a red hexohm for my black tank, I have a hex problem for sure.

As above, it was @sd3614 fault, I thought, why spend that on a wrecker when I can have a hex ohm and bang, the red was in stock and I hit the buy button, dang..

I'm not bashing other mods, I just love em lol

Lol. well my PCB should be here soon as well as my parts from DigiKey, so by next friday I should have my new Raptor box built. Its like your hex, but it will have a voltage display so I can see my battery level, and it will go to 120 watts where you hex only hits 100. All this in a CNCd Hammond 1590G box. Cant wait....

But when your red hex gets in you gonna have to post pics of it... Red hex, black crown with red tint to the glass... wire an LED in so when you hit the fire button your tank lights up.. LOL! Call it the vape-brake light!

Ha, it will have all that except the red led, with a lifetime warranty it would void that for sure.
I'm really looking forward to your box mod, battery level is what I miss but I do have a charger now that reads the volts so it's just a case of a quick check once a day, price you pay for having an hex. I am glad I was able to help a little bit in your build, seems you now have the parts for an epic looking mod. Man, maybe I'll be throwing cash at you to make me one, I mean, you have a few extra borads lol
The Silver crown looks better on the blue hex I feel, it came today, again, no leaks or gurgling, I can only say that the ones I got from my supplier were a bad batch, these ones I have now work perfect. My TFV4 is gathering dust for one big reason, the air flow, the Crown, to me has a much better afc.
