basically, the left half of this pic is my sternum and general area where cleavage would be had i any. and the upper right corner is the hollow just where my shoulder joint begins/where my clavicle reaches my shoulder.

it's not that recent, most of it... but i had a leaf added, and my tatt guy doublecoated the rest for me just cause he's cool like that. ;)

the script is [very stylized] ancient chinese. basically it says, "bodiless, fearless," or, "without a body, you have nothing to fear" and it *means* no fear of death.

here, this'll work better for reference on the location. ;) :

I wasn't going to do this, but why not for a laugh.

This photo is of myself (on the right) and a friend of mine in South Dakota in 1980 outside the airport. I was flying back to Australia to recuperate from a few injuries. Ben (my friend) was the National High School Rodeo Bareback Champion and a bloody good cowboy. I rode bulls and we were both with the PRCA.

This photo is current and was taken last year. I'm 54 in a few weeks and yes you can see I've had a hard life.8-o

Two thumbs up.

Very Distinguished. Not showing signs of hard life at all. Just a life lived.

That first pic is fantastic, it's basically what I expected when I moved out here to texas. needless to say I'm yet to see anyone in a "10 gallon hat" or with steer's horn bullbars or anything like that.
I lived in the States for three years and I think I only saw one "10 gallon hat". Definitely didn't see any steer's horn bullbars even though they were in the movies occasionally.

Thanks Tina, I think I'll use that "Just a life lived" line from now on.

i'm pretty sure i saw steer's horns on a truck in dallas. but dallas, well, is dallas.
I'll admit, i don't go into downtown much, but I do live in Dallas, still haven't seen cowboy hats, steers horns or any rattlesnakes in, hmm, 7 years now. I havent been held up at gunpoint either tho, or shot at, so can't complain.

You need to get out of the city, or go to Ft. Worth!

I can't get 3 miles down the road without seeing one (other than my own).

I'm talking about hats. I haven't seen a vehicle on the road with longhorns on it for years.

How sure are you of that? :D

My friend Nui covers up tattoos all the time that don't really say what they're supposed to.

You know, it's supposed to say "Happy lucky prosperous life," but it really says, "buy one from menu A, get two from menu B."

oh, i'm sure of it, because i speak korean and read some chinese, and it's a verse from the tao te ching which i've studied in english and chinese for several years. :D took the characters straight from the verse myself and did the stylization myself. but yes, i have seen many language... mishaps (and practical jokes) of that type. like the a$$hole USAF pilot in korea that was a jerk to the korean seamstress that embroidered their ranks/names on their nametapes (the cloth name tag on the uniform) in korean and english for their tours @ Osan. guy walked around with "small penis" stitched in korean below his name for well over a month before the k's in his unit had laughed about it enough and decided to tell him.
