1/31 Entry #4 . . .

First thing first - been doing some research on the "eVic". . . So far so good and I may have some good news for those who already have them . . . Firmware/Software UPDATE Version 1.2 came out last night at MIDNIGHT . . . AND - They are already talking about Version 2.0 coming just around the corner . . . This is where I saw it - almost down at the bottom of page in a big blue box - here: Joyetech Joye eVic starter Kits

An ECF Friend who has an "eVic" and already updated it from the link I gave her up there ^ ^ ^ ^ - says it is nice and makes the "eVic" easier to use and you can eliminate some of the options like the "vape Counter" if you want now . . . :D

Oh the perils of the non-bootable PC. Sometimes you just feel like bashing the bejezas out of em with a big sledge hammer. Don't you? LOL :)

A few precisely placed "hammer blows" should solve all your problems. :p No just kidding, don't do that. I hope you get it figured out MLT. Good luck!

Here We Go - I Think This Will Help . . . View attachment 174143

1) Greetings of the day!

I try to be "natural" with housekeeping supplies: baking soda, vinegar, etc., but unless it works, I don't have the patience. Even if The Prairie Wife's Book of How Your Granny Did It says crushed marigolds with lemon and toe jam mixed into a paste and applied during the second phase of the moon will remove stains, I know I'll never do it.

For odors: baking soda is good, if the odor isn't too strong and is in an enclosed area; vinegar smells like vinegar, it masks some odors and if it bit of garlic is added smells like a salad. But there are dangers! Mittens! Stop! Get off the table! I know the antipasto smells like your litterbox, but that's a Vietri Alfresco bowl!

Personally, I swear by "Ozium." It's frighteningly strong, and probably toxic, but after 40 years of smoking I think I'd be a hypocrite to care. I believe you're not supposed to spray more than one little spritz in a large room, but I don't remember. I've used it for years and don't feel like looking for my glasses to read the label. I spray it in the air like any other freshener and directly on fabrics. I even spray it in the laundry sometimes. I've never tested it on a small corner, I don't own anything nice. You may have to treat it a few times, but it will take the smell of smoke out of your car. I don't recall how many years ago I learned of it, but I've kept it on-hand ever since, as it is the only thing I know of that makes a serious dent (if not eliminates) the smell of cat pee.

ETA: This is based on my experience only! No disrespect meant toward Lisa. If vinegar works for her to remove odors, she has had more success than I. I use vinegar for cleaning and as a weed killer.

Yes - Totally agree with going as "natural" as possible when cleaning, especially when using caustic chemicals . . . I cannot breath with most of them although I still need to use Bleach on "My" Bathroom & Kitchen "Stuff" - if you know what I mean . . . ;)

AND - As for "Ozium" - Very Nice and could not live without it for a number of reasons . . . However, the only place I can find it is at an Auto Parts Store or on the web and it is starting to get to expensive . . . So I am trying to find some other things that might work too . . . Right now, I actually have the Vinegar in an open dish in "My" Bedroom behind a closed door to see what it will do for "Me" . . . OH - BTW: I also use baking soda in all "My" closets and when I do "My" laundry (Especially since I have to go to a laudrymat), besides the refigerator and to help clean "My" carpets . . . Really Does A Nice JOB - That is if "You" do it correctly . . .

I officially start work Monday! :)

OH MY - SO Happy for "YOU" - CONGRATULATIONS :rickroll:

edit: forums that protect us from ourselves are just lame. It's no wonder I rarely see moderators here... they've nothing to do.

Below is the charger I got. The Pila (?) was out of my price range and I heard pretty good things about the XTAR as a less expense option. The night I ordered, almost every site was out of the 18350s (which I didn't realize until after I placed my order with ProVape) &/or they didn't have a charger I could afford and feel safe with. I know I'll have to get a different charger if/when I get the extension cap, but I was trying to keep the initial cost down, so I decided to skip the cap for now. Once again, I humbly bow to Baditude-sensei for his guidance and handholding. That man has major good karma points.

ElectronicStix.Com · XTAR MP2 16340/18350/15270 Li-ion Battery Charger

Okay - I've got to keep cost low too . . . (like Ya' didn't know that already  ) . . . AND - Practically none of the battery chargers that came with the different "Kits" I already have work on anything - but the batteries that came with them :)blink: One Charger even came with a European Connector and plug adapter for USA Electrical outlets) . . . Also, I would like to get a charger that will work on the majority of the batteries I have without having to keep pulling otu different chargers . . . So is this a good one for the larger batteries like the 18650/18500/18350 and the 14500 . . .

Anyone have any other suggestions . . .

Possibly the SVD depends on what people say about it and price point. I like my MVP quite a bit.

1) February looks like an exciting month for new vaping hardware. The Janty MiD and the Innokin iTaste SVD should be interesting. Any of you guys and gals planning to pick up either?

Super dumb question (can you tell I'm freaking paranoid?) there is no indication of positive or negative on the batteries or the charger. Is it like flashlights, where the button goes on the fixed end and the flat bottom goes on the spring. I feel like an idiot.

Go test battery in mini. I seriously thought only button top batteries work in provari...

on charger usually yes. BUT if you could give us a link to it, can prolly help you better.

Battery, button side is + side. It should have some kind of a symbol on it somewhere.

No symbol anywhere, and I searched google images to try and find a picture of one in a charger. No luck. I then had a "duh" moment and checked other kinds of rechargeable batteries & chargers I have: all have button end to the "top" flat part, and bottom (flat) end to the spring. I knew that, I'm just kind of frantic. Obviously these batteries are made for people who know what they are doing. Another panic moment: on my phone, you plug the charger into the wall and then into the phone - but the regular battery charger I have is one piece and plugs into the wall with the batteries already in it. Breathe, just breathe... they are batteries, not a phone...breathe...okay, put the batteries into the charger, plugged the charger into the wall plug thingy, plugged the wall plug thingy into the outlet. Breathe...buttons red, they appear to be charging...breathe...

I got some good new this evening after I got my daughter back from dance class.
1. Vape mail.. My rainbow v3 rebuildable dripper came in. My first rba of any kind.
2. Made my first cheese cloth wick and swapped it in. (didnt change the coil) And it works pretty good :)
3. My juice order from monday morning Finally is showing shipped (well im sure just ready for pick up, but better then processing for 4 days lol)
4. The anice, licorice, french vanilla, EM mix that has been steeping. Actually getting decent. No much flavor on inhale, but has alot of pretty good flavor on exhale.

Im still going to go all mad scientist this weekend with my anise, licorices, and absinth flavor. Mix about 10-15 little vials and let them steep till the following weekend. muahaha
