I put a thin strip of elec tape that covered about half the hole as a temp fix just so I could vape it today. I actually might just leave it on the large size, i'm starting to like it the more I vape it. You know how it is when switching from what you're used to and then trying something new & different. If I end up not liking it I may just find a sheet metal screw slightly larger to plug, or I may try like you suggested & solder it and then redrill with a smaller bit. For now I'm gonna give it some time. Thanks for the help.

Now with a very comfy fire button to ease da pain in me finga from the small/sharp Vapage fire button. Total cost lets see, 20 dowel rod caps at 1.99- 2 ruined caps (split drilling larger) = .30 cent. :vapor:

Update on my squid mod: I did have to drill the center post on the bottom of the Squid. What was happening was my feed was getting cut off because I had to screw it down really tight to get it to fire. My squid has a flat contact which essentially blocked off the feed from the 510 extension, drilled it with 1/16th and it's feeding great now. No air locking like it was doing. Vape on VModders!

Thank you all for sharing this information...especially Eddie.

Have a few drippy's hanging around the house all pretty much unused so will start to look through the options.

Seems the A7 is the only no fiddle atty our there and that is a shame as I gifted mine ages ago.

From others experience you still need to drill the top cap. The air inlets on the bottom get cut off once you tighten it down on the Vmod.

Have gone through everything I have and nope... nothing fits the bill. Considering a Era or the Aerovape one.

Going to have to do something as none of my Atty's are cutting it.

Andy, The squid that I just modded is working great, it already has an air hole in the deck that works great to feed the liquid, the only thing you have to do is drill a 1/16th hole in the center battery connection post and one small air feed hole in the cap. The rest is the 510 to 510 extension & the o-ring that Eddie mentioned. The top cap is screw on and it's very easy to coil & re-wick. Don't know if you are worried about looks or not. I don't think it looks bad, but everyone has their own idea about that. I purchased my Squid from FT, and yes it took like 3 weeks to get it in the mail, but they are like most stuff on FT, inexpensive, but worth the wait. I also purchased the IGO-L but have not bothered to mod it because the Squid is working so well. Best of luck in your search and modding.

Got a question for you VModders. Have an XL I got used, but it's missing the sleeve thing that goes around the atty that the cone screws onto, so I can't really use it as intended. Trying to get the piece from Vapage, but they don't sell it separately. The girl in CS I talked said she'd try to find an open kit and send me one, but didn't sound real hopeful, so I'm wondering if I can get around the problem by using an RBA? It looks like you guys aren't even using that piece. From a read-through of the thread, the A7 seems like the easiest way to go, just a drill through the top cap for an airhole? Does it still need an adapter and o-ring? Where/what size o-ring would be necessary? Thanks for the info guys! Oh, and if anyone knows where to get a replacement for that sleeve around the atty, please let me know, I'm only looking into the RBA thing as a last resort, ideally I want to use regular atties on this thing!

Yes you could. You don't use any of the vapage pieces when connecting an rba. As for the o-ring size I'm thinking either a 1/2"or 9/16" ODfor a single one at the top sandwiched between the rba and top of chassis. Either 1/16 or 1/8 thickness

Awesome, thanks! And I still need a 510/510 adapter, yes? Unsealed?

So... I was thinking a micro coiled vivi nova head with xc116 wick, possibly on an open hole adapter, and an xl 306 drip tip, in my vmod xl. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It SEEMS like it would be great little rebuild able 306 style on a bottom feeder. Anyone try this, or have any idea if it would be good. Threading for the head does work on the vmod and the adapter
