Vape-a-versary

I wanted to take a moment today to express my gratitude to the members of this community for their information and support.

One year ago today I was a smoker... a very very sick smoker. I was a smoker with pneumonia who couldn't smoke. And being a smoker who couldn't smoke was an identity crisis that was too horrid to be borne.

One year ago today I bought a cheap disposable electronic cigarette.

One year ago today I gained a new identity. I became a vaper.

Today, on my first vape-a-versary, I wanted to let you all know that I'm grateful for the fact that you've shared this journey with me. We are connected, you and I, because at some point the majority of you have done just what I did. You picked up an e-cig and changed your life. We are vapers together. Thank you for that, and cheers!

Sometimes it takes an illness to force us to look at alternatives. Now a cold for me is just a cold, no bronchitis, no inflamed lungs...just a cold!

I completely agree, I tried countless times to break my 50 yr 2+ PAD habit, I started vaping & completely quit in <2wks.

Very well said. It is sad that sometimes it takes a major event to spur us to do the things we know we should do. You had a problem and figured out a way to conquer it. Congratulations and looking forward to your second anniversary a year from now.
