The stout is a fine
mod but it is really mistargeted. Even if there were 40 amp CDR 26650s and 100 Watts was reasonable battery life would still be poor. 100 watt mods need two cells.
As a 5-60 watt mod it is great. If you are using it to tootle puff to midrange modwomping it isn't a bad mod. At lower current draw (<50 watts) voltage sag isn't bad enough on a 26650 to trigger the weak battery protection and the extra mah a 26650 has over an 18650 is quite noticeable.
I use my stout with a SS coil/SS mesh setup in TC mode that doesn't require more than 25 Watts, at 22.5 I get two days off an orange MNKE, which is a bit better than the VTC mini operating at the same wattage.
I really like my Stout and want to defend it, but it is really only a great
device for a subset of vapers (I.e. people that want a 1-60 watt mod that lasts longer than a single 18650 regulated. The notion that it is usable past 60 Watts is unfortunately wishful thinking.
