what battery brands are known to work in the Stout besides the Brillpower? a lot of 26650's are 67mm in length and are to long? from what I can tell you need a 65mm battery... one of the only ones I can find is the 4000mah Efest @ 65.11mm. I would hate to order batts and have them not fit ;)
According to Mike vape's review, the MXJO 3500mah 26650's work. That's what he was using in the review. I've never used them so I have no idea about their quality.

The MNKE IMR 26650 is what I'm running in mine. They are a little tight but work well.

MNKE IMR 26650

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially since I own the same batteries, however Mooch found some inconsistencies while testing the MNKE 26650s. He's advising against purchasing at this time. He is testing a new selection of 26650s and will hopefully have the results and recommendations out within the next week or so.

This is what Mooch says about 26650s in general:

It sure seems that way. 26650's have much higher internal resistance. This limits the current they can deliver without overheating. It also causes the voltage to sag further when taking a pull.

26650s are best thought of as "energy" cells...high capacity, lower amps.
18650's, for the most part, are best thought of as "power" cells...lower capacity, higher amps.

Though, some 18650's beat out some 26650's on all counts. Especially when you factor in size and weight. :)

So a 26650 100w device isn't the best of buys at the moment.

Walked in to my local b&m today and saw the black stout. Mouth started watering and wallet started burning until I put a battery in and saw the screen. Very disappointing. So small and dim that it was difficult to see even in store lighting. I can only imagine that outside would be impossible to view. Anyone else experienced this or is it my eyesight in question?

I agree the screen on the new VF's are not my favorites but I'm sure if we complain to Charlie or Wismec they can brighten up the screen with a simple sw update. They are sexy little buggers though! Come on Major, you know you want one!!

Marc, I bought the Stout primarily for the single coil Serpent RTA at 35-45 watts so I'm hoping to get pretty good battery life out of the MNKE's. I will stick a Crown .25 on her just to check out the battery performance. I'm usually a pretty mellow vaper but there are times I pull out the little Noisy Cricket and go....shazam!!
