Im sure this has been found and posted somewhere in these 43 pages.. but this is as close as I could find. I will buy one of these and do a discharge test on this one first.. that way im not down a mod while its testing.

I have one of those and an external charger. It has been sitting here waiting for the device to show up. I am pretty confident that is the battery they re-labeled.

If yours get's hot while doing the battery analyzer you most likely are doing the test higher than the 40W suggested. The test runs in short pulses first firing then resting letting the battery return to resting charge a few seconds each, taking several hours to go through the entire process. When I ran the test I had no noticeable heat at all either on the mod or battery using a couple large 26g loops. To me it's not just in seeing how much the battery specs are being over rated but also and more important to me is knowing that my device doesn't have a 19.98Wh pack and that it's closer to a 13.5Wh pack. So I can configure the device more closely to the actual capacity of the battery pack.

Well excuse me !!! - Just kidding :D

My bad - I was not talking from personal experience and probably should have stated that. I read a post in which the guy claimed his unit got so hot that he could hold it. I "assumed" it to be a valid warning and ever since reading it I have been scarred to death of that test considering that high heat is a mortal enemy of LiPo Batteries.

Now that you have explained how it really works I might consider running the battery test.

PS - everything in eScribe seems to work so well that I was surprised at whomever it was that posted about the high heat. I found it hard to believe that a piece of software that does everything else so well would make a blunder like that and just pour the coals to it.

One caveat though Vlad1, have you seen the Busardo review where he burns up what looks like a twenty watt power resistor running the WH test? That makes me wonder why it burnt up his resistor if it is doing pulse/cool down cycles? Hmmm...???

Well it could depend on the device, how tightly confined everything is, how much power is being used to discharge the battery etc.. But the VTBox200 has some breathing room inside and while I did the test I had the magnetic cover off so I could constantly touch the battery pack to check for heat which may have allowed it to stay a little cooler. And yea I think I seen what your talking about, I didn't use resistors I just used a couple large loops of 26 gauge Kanthal wire and at 40W they air cooled pretty much before they could get hot.

I wouldn't use the escribe method, I have an actual lipo battery analyzer. Anyway.... turns out I cannot not perform the test anyway. Today my box went not responsive. there are no magnets in the doors. I took both doors to find the battery hard wired in. Ive contacted GB to get a fix, replace, or something. That was a huge waste of 150$ and a one month wait.

In case it comes up.

I think to clarify what they're demonstrating is not necessarily an over discharged battery pack but the devices inability to monitor each cells voltage correctly since the Balance connector is not seated and in turn generates the "Check Battery" warning.

That's quite different than all of us that received our devices that could be monitored and all three cells being over discharged and under 2 volts. Relatively certain this was a result of the early firmware bugs as I've seen reports of actual over discharged packs on most all devices being distributed.

Got my White one today. Honestly I don't think I am going to break the plastic.

Ebay or classifieds maybe. I have a triple 18650 DNA on order and I think I'd just be happier with it.

So I'm looking at the package just debating :/
What shipping method did you use? I went with the default of Sing Post. Still showing "dispatched to overseas (US)". Hope to see mine soon.

Don't like the looks, size or afraid it's a dud? To possibly save yourself some trouble later on if you decide to resell it maybe take off the plastic and charge it and update the firmware and test it if you do go that route.

I pre-ordered 2 JAYBO triple 18650 mods. So that is why I'm on the fence. Heck I am even on the fence on canceling the Jaybo.

All in all I feel my vaping decreasing these last 2 weeks and it's spooking me. I am thinking I need to slow down and honestly I am loving my Hohm Wrecker in the mean time because it is so simple and I get a nice little pre-heat feature.

*IF* I keep it, the sole reason is to do temp on SS coils because I love my Crown tanks. However I am getting use to the Ni coils so in some ways that solves my problem that direction.

All of this time waiting..... I know, it's crazy. Plus I have a spare battery and charger for the Vtbox that I have been sitting on for 2 months :/

I think I understand that. Since buying the Uwell Crown tank I feel like I've been vaping more and more which in turn using the same juice and Nic strength I think my Nic intake has significantly increased and may be the cause of some physical problems I've been noticing. I've been thinking I need to get onto a reduction plan and stick with it as I didn't want to be a vaper for life and didn't plan on substituting one habit for another when I started vaping I just wanted to get off the cigs. When I started out I kind of had a plan but the end date has long past. I started out at 24mg and every couple months dropped down and all went fine until I went to 3mg when I started having sleeping problems and such so went back up to 6mg which is where I have stayed.:( I think I need to focus and put forth the effort to start dropping my Nic level again as I've kind of lost sight of the end goal a bit.

Exactly and I never thought I'd become a shinyitus junkie. I have dropped to 6mg and with the Crown feel like 3mg would easily do me. I just keep seeing the devices, tanks and juice pile up. Yet today funny enough I grabbed a $20 battery mod (ijust2) and tossed an old Maganus tank and headed to work and was completely satisfied. :)

Not to discourage anyone with the Vapecige box but the battery in mine is going south on #3 cell. It only charges to 3.85 volts while the other two charge to 4.2. I have checked it pretty good to make sure it's the battery and not board/connections. Still works just fine though. A new Turnigy 1300 mah is on the way. I thought about doing away with the plug soldering the wires together rather than soldering the wires to the board but ordered some female plugs as well. There isn't much room for the plug with the stock battery but the replacement is a little smaller so I'll decide about the plug when I see how it will fit.
It wasn't till after I ordered the battery that I remembered that I wanted to convert to two 18650's....DUH

That sucks. Hope you have better luck getting a replacement from Gearbest than I've had. I opened my original ticket with them on 9/9 and they still haven't shipped a replacement battery pack. The last message they posted was on 10/17 stating again (The 4th or 5th time) they were sending a replacement and to please wait 3-7 days:facepalm: Well it's now 10/28, 11 days since that post and they haven't replied back to my request for an update and still no battery pack shipped.

GB will never even know about it, I don't even look at their web site. My first and last Gearbest purchase. It would probably be just a waste of time, they would say that I bought the black and white one but this one is red and black so it must not be one of their's.

Yea my first and last order from them as well. I kind of knew going in it might be a crapshoot from what others that had posted but figured I'd give them a chance. But I did get a reply to my request for update and it stated the Financial department refused the request and please wait another 3-5 days for shipment and I would receive a tracking number. Already anticipating another excuse in another 10 - 12 days on why they haven't shipped a replacement.
