Speaking of TN Dave, I lived in Jackson for 2 yrs, then lived in Nashville in Whites Creek, down the street from Barbara Mandrell for 4 yrs and from there to Arkansas where I am now. On the song " Where I Come From ", he mentioned black and white TV's and I remember when the first Colored TV showed up on our street and it was at our baby sitters house. We had black and white while I was in elementary school and we ran down to the sitters house to watch the Macy's Day Parade and that was the most exciting thing we had done in yrs!!!! Looking at that colored TV made our eye's, as big as saucers!!

Just wanted to say, cause sometimes I just go on and enjoy and don't say anything but really appreciate you and what you do and I know the others feel the same and sometimes it needs to be said. Thankyou Redd, my most beautiful, caring friend and you are just the very most thoughtful person and thanks for all you have done for me! {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} caring and much love come your way. Love all the things you do!
Hey speaking of Kentucky Redd, I got a story! I was just crossing over the river boarder bridge from Tn and heading into Ky, when the sky was all wierd and lighting going sideways and there coming over the hill and towards the road, was this twister. A tornado coming right at, I did a quick right turn on a dirt road that turned out to be a drive. The people yelled out from the house, What a ya'll doin, I said trying to get away from this tornado. They invited us in, me, wife and little son at the time. The winds were howling and we sat and had dinner with these folks and had a great time untill the storm was gone. The young teen age girl asked me where we were from and I said Michigan and she said, Mi, do ya'll know Bob Segar, he's from Mi and when we left, She said Iffin ya'll see Bob Segar, ya tell I said hi! It was so funny
When we left, everything down the road was tore up, trees and gas pumps out in the road, houses destroyed etc. We were lucky we found these hospitable people and quite interesting, I could never forget! Must have been between 1975 & 77, I think
