In this place, filled with empty space
Your love holds the key, baby sympathize with me
I need you
Before I lost, your touch of life and grace
I knew that your sweet face could always comfort me
I love you

In this place, full of empty space
Your soft and tender love will always shine for me
I love you
Now I know, what it means to have you gone
I'm down on my knees baby see by me
I love you

Long misty days
Told me they would change their ways
Once in a while will come my way

The thrill is gone
Misty days linger on and on
Once in a while is here to stay

We feed this fire
Lovers in a nursery rhyme
The words belong to you
And the melody was mine

Long misty days
Told me in a million ways
Once in a while will come my way

Oh how the moon
Shining at a lonely room
Weeping willow cry for me

Sing me a song
Simple as the day is long
I love someone crying to be free

And take the sky
And tell me if the moon is blue
And if it's meant to be
That my melody was used

Long misty days
Told me in a million ways
Once in a while will come my way

Long misty days
Told me they would change the ways
Once in a while is here to stay

A gypsy sings, of birds with broken wings
and painted wheels that never roll
Who hears the sighs? Who stole this paradise?
Who took the fire from his soul?

And where are the roads to freedom?
Where is the life his father knew?
Where is the love, where is the joy
and tell me, where are the roads to freedom?

Now truth or lie, who hears the soldier cry?
He was a hero of the war
But no one comes near, he sheds a lonely tear
and wonders what it all was for

And where are the roads to freedom?
Where is the life his father knew?
Where is the love, where is the joy
and tell me, where are the roads to freedom?

Solo

And where are the roads to freedom?
Where is the life his father knew?
Where is the love, where is the joy
and tell me, where are the roads to freedom?

Good morning, peoples. I have distant Cajun relatives in Louisianna.

We take color tv for granted these days, but I remember watching an early one at a friend's house, back in the 60s. The sky was green and the grass was blue, but we didn't care, it was in COLOR !!!!! :D

Goodafternoon Beautiful Folks! I dedicate this song to Redd, cause she's hott! Really love all of your beauty here Redd, you do the best of music and all of the most wonderous magic. Just wanted to say, cause sometimes I just go on and enjoy and don't say anything but really appreciate you and what you do and I know the others feel the same and sometimes it needs to be said. Thankyou Redd, my most beautiful, caring friend and you are just the very most thoughtful person and thanks for all you have done for me! {{{{{{hugs}}}}}} caring and much love come your way. Love all the things you do!

Thats great Hearts! My Mothers or my grandmother lived in Nashville and my dads side, papa and grannie and brothers, sisters and such all lived in the Sparta Tn and Cookville areas, only about 90 miles from Nashville. Love Arkansas, used to visit a friend there, outside of little Rock, a place called Bebe, or Beebee, sounds like. Haven't been down yonder, in quite a spell, Yep, mighty fine folks round dare! Saw Barara in concert once, great! I remember the tv's, little small screen B&W, that was it and also remember the first color ones. They used to sell an adapter screen to fit over your B&W to give you something like color and it was really weird! Nice to see you Hearts and hope you are well and feeling good and all! {{{hugs}}}Here's downtown Beebe, late 40's, 50's, maybe, just learned how it's spelled! Heard something about the birds dieing there after a celebration. What happened?

Speaking of TN Dave, I lived in Jackson for 2 yrs, then lived in Nashville in Whites Creek, down the street from Barbara Mandrell for 4 yrs and from there to Arkansas where I am now. On the song " Where I Come From ", he mentioned black and white TV's and I remember when the first Colored TV showed up on our street and it was at our baby sitters house. We had black and white while I was in elementary school and we ran down to the sitters house to watch the Macy's Day Parade and that was the most exciting thing we had done in yrs!!!! Looking at that colored TV made our eye's, as big as saucers!!

:laugh:Hey speaking of Kentucky Redd, I got a story! I was just crossing over the river boarder bridge from Tn and heading into Ky, when the sky was all wierd and lighting going sideways and there coming over the hill and towards the road, was this twister. A tornado coming right at, I did a quick right turn on a dirt road that turned out to be a drive. The people yelled out from the house, What a ya'll doin, I said trying to get away from this tornado. They invited us in, me, wife and little son at the time. The winds were howling and we sat and had dinner with these folks and had a great time untill the storm was gone. The young teen age girl asked me where we were from and I said Michigan and she said, Mi, do ya'll know Bob Segar, he's from Mi and when we left, She said Iffin ya'll see Bob Segar, ya tell I said hi! It was so funny:laugh: When we left, everything down the road was tore up, trees and gas pumps out in the road, houses destroyed etc. We were lucky we found these hospitable people and quite interesting, I could never forget! Must have been between 1975 & 77, I think:ohmy:
