Vaping and surgery?

Just an FYI. I just got a call from the anesthesiologist and asked about vaping and she said, no problem! Woohoo! My Absolut Cream and Wakonda are loaded and ready to go!!!!!!
Oh honey, I heard you can NOT vape Absolut Creme Brûlée for a good six months after surgery. You better let me hold that.
Glad to hear they are going to let you get your fix before you go under the knife! I hope the surgery goes smoothly - Katy and I will both be praying for you!

Getting ready to go! This is my fourth eye surgery to correct the damage a doctor did when I got LASIK. When they did the LASIK they "accidentally" destroyed my tear ducts and tore ligaments in my eyelids. I'm going in for my fourth artificial set of tear ducts, called Jones tubes and my second eye lid repair. Hopefully this is all for the last time. I got LASIK because I was too vain to wear glasses and here I am. Lesson learned, be grateful for what the Lord has blessed you with and don't get alterations that aren't medically necessary. Vanity is never a good thing! Besides, there are some really cute glasses out there! See ya soon! You know I can't stay away from NT family. And Nanny22, I appreciate the offer to hold my ACB! That is really sweet of you! Maybe next time!
I had surgery almost two months ago and vaped all the way to the hospital. They knew I didn't smoke, but I'm not sure if I told them I used electronic cigs. I did not drink anything or eat from the night prior. Because of this I didn't vape as much cause I couldn't hydrate myself.
Once I woke up I went to the bathroom and pulled out my gear and vaped away for a few minutes and back into bed until I was released later in the day.

Got my gear ready to go! I can't have coffee this moning, but the Wakonda is awesome! And I'm a pro at stealth vaping in bathrooms!

Good luck 57! I'm surprised and not surprised at the same time that your anesthesiologist Ok'ed vaping before and after surgery. My doctor was totally against my smoking in general, but delighted when I carried in my ecig and demo'ed it in his examining room.
When I saw my doctor after quitting smoking she said, "WOW!!!!! That is SO WONDERFUL!!!!! Wait....how did you do it....
" and when I told her about vaping she got so excited and made me demo for her and took tons of notes for all her smoking patients, especially since she thinks the patch and gum etc. are worthless and flat-out refuses to prescribe Chantix as she said she believes it is the most destructive drug on the market. And when I saw her after that the first thing she asked me if I was still vaping and when I said yes she got all happy and bouncy and said all of the medical research is very promising (insert a rant on both our parts about bad science and selective reading of results) and then she told me that 5 of her patients were off cigs for the first time in their lives and it is all thanks to vaping. 
I'm home and feeling good on my super NT juice and pain pills! Feeling no pain and happily vaping again. My eyes look like a got hit by a Mack truck or baseball bat, not a pretty sight and vision will be alittle off for a couple of days. But vision is still good enough to check the NT threads and to make sure that the ACB is still steeping. Sorry Nanny22! But Nanny, I'll keep you in mind! If Clark doesn't make some Raz Cup very soon , you just might see a PM from me! Thanks everybody, you guys are sooooo sweet! And just a side note, two of the nurses I met today vape, as do their husbands! I just happed to have some NT cards in my purse!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery 57chilicat! How did the vaping conversation come up with your nurses? I've mentioned it to one of my doctors who is a fanatic about supplements, hormone balancing, holistic meds etc. and she was all for it at the time (a year or so ago). I've been scared to mention to any others or to her again in fear they'd have something negative to say. Not that it would stop me. Lord knows, they had plenty to say about smoking over the years and that never stopped me there.
I joked around that I had my ecig hid in my hospital gown! You know they always ask if you smoke. That opened the vape conversation flood gate! One if the nurses stated that she was watching FDA status because she was so happy vaping! I just had to plug NT!
I also discussed it with a lab tech last week. She said her husband tried ecigs 4 years ago and didn't like it! Gave her the ECF site info to give to him so he could see how much better it is now! Also my regular physician loves that I vape!
