I hate going into a WalMart, with a passion. If I need anything there, I try to con Ms Rule into going. She's less averse to the place than I am. She's one of those people who will go, just to wander around. I'd rather gouge my own eyes out with a rusty spoon. But in the unlikely event that I did go, I wouldn't vape in there, nor would I in Home Depot, Lowe's, Publix, movie theaters, etc.

Since I'm a single guy my shopping trips take 20 minutes at most I just leave it in the car.

And if I was shopping with a woman, well I'd never be so foolish to stick my foot in that bear trap. Honey I don't feel like shopping, but my credit card said he would go with you problem solved.

Used to despise going into wallmart for the simple lack of self respect displayed as a rule, However, I've come to realise it's really not that bad, and boosts the self image pretty good, so I might be an average guy, but when I go in a wallmart, I'm a 10+ easy!

No, I really don't vape in shops/ stores.

I tootle puff a mini protank in public discretely. No reason to draw attention. One day maybe vaping will be accepted as the norm publicly but until then blowing clouds in public is not helping the cause.

Sorry but those vehemently opposed to vaping could care less what your puffing on. If they see you doing it they will be upset no matter how much vapor your put out. Your just as much part of the problem in their eyes.

Tootle puffing doesn't automatically absolve you from everything negative about vaping in public. Even though we all know that group thinks they're above everyone else and immune to hardware accidents, social stigmas, etc..

I don't know why but I will not vape in restaurants. Even discretely I just find it weird so I don't bother. Malls I have no problem. If I'm in a bar well as they say "it's on"
There is something that many of us (I'll assume) noticed after quitting analogs, that smell you can detect 5 cars back while running 35-40 MPH in traffic.

Knowing the stench of burning tobacco+ chems, leaves one a bit humbled. And less likely to force others to endure our habit. So I agree, why put that on others.

Now in a pub so many could care less, as smoking / vaping has been synonymous with tossing a few back, seems to be a bit more acceptable. You still have to feel the general consensus out before firing up the fogger.

I vape one way, and one way only. Mid low resistance, around .4 ohm duals, bottom feed attys, Reo mods. I have no desire to change the way I vape, just so I can vape discretely, in public, so I don't. I won't own separate gear for tootle puffing, when I'm out and about, vs the gear I use at home.

i can't think of any company here that hasn't already addressed to issue.
another reason government need not create law to cure a problem that doesn't
exist.
i haven't seen much signage indicating no-vaping as of yet.
could be because they are not required by law as no smoking
signs are, even though a four year old knows no smoking is allowed.
i am aware however that official policy and unofficial policy are
two different things. official policy may state no vaping but,
the unofficial policy is on a case by case basis.
if no one complains and it doesn't interfere with the safe
and timely operation of the business its your call.
its been my experience though limited is when a vaping
issue arises its because someone has whined,er,i mean
complained about it.
regards
mike

I repeat : IT'S NOT SMOKING.

All you saying that vaping in public is giving us a bad rep have it backwards. Most of the non-vaping public have no idea what vaping is about. If they know anything, it's probably just the lies they've read in headlines (vaping worse than smoking, vaping leads to smoking, etc.) that's always accompanied by a pic of a young person (20ish) blowing a HUGE cloud.
THAT'S ALL THEY KNOW. We have to take the opportunity to show them that's not all there is.

I have NEVER seen someone blowing clouds in any public place other than parking lots or vape shops.

I am a grey haired grandmother and mod womper. I vape respectably in public. I welcome the opportunity to educate non-vapers.

Keep treating vaping like smoking - just like the antis do - THAT'S the fuel to the fire. "Well look - even the vapers think it's just like smoking so it should be treated like smoking!"

It is not just individual store policies you need to be aware of there are also state, city and local ordinances/laws/bans to consider as more and more lump vaping in with the current smoking ordinances/laws/bans making it unlawful to vape anywhere smoking is not allowed.

For me it has always been a matter of having control over my personal vices/habits/self. I honestly feel if I really just can not wait until I am done shopping or whatever to go outside/in my car/at home to vape there is something seriously the matter with me that I need to deal with.

Yep I am finding that the urgency to vape is not as strong as the urgency to smoke was.

Lol, that's funny there. I've always vaped discretely Everywhere I go. There is no vapor if I hold it in for a few seconds, so it just looks like I'm sorta sucking on my hand, lol.

Wish they sold a PV that looked like a small juice bottle with a straw.

My 2 cents, it all boils down to being considerate of others. I am in no way a huge fan of people, public places, social gatherings, etc. but I do try to be considerate of those around me. If it is a place that doesn't allow smoking, then I don't vape. Just because I vape DOES NOT make me special in any way! I'm not an exception to any rule or policy, I am just as liable for my actions as the next. If you do vape in wal mart, publix, etc. then shame on you. So continue to think you're special and when the hammer drops it will be in part because of you, but you'll never admit it.
