I stealth vape in my cubicle all day. Nobody is, or will ever be the wiser. I don't blow out clouds of vapor, I hold it in until it is gone. As far as anyone is concerned, I'm just chewing on the end of a pen.

If I brought the issue to management, they would be quick to ban it in the building. It's just a fact. I know the environment I work in. I doubt I would be fired if caught, since my manager likes me and I am a valued employee, but they'd probably tell me I couldn't do it anymore.

Exactly my situation. I have been stealth vaping at my desk all day for 4.5 months, a few friends know, but that is it. I assume that managment would not approve if I asked, so I just don't ask, and don't tell.

I know that if I hadn't spoken with someone higher up, one of the employees would have seen "smoke" in the bathroom and an email would have gone out to everyone on the site about "smoking in the bathroom" or even worse, being called into the VP's office and having him yell about "smoking" because no one bothers to get the facts before hand.

I'm not really seeing your point with all this. Do you have see-through stalls or something?

Anyway, it's very easy to vape without anybody knowing, even if they see you with your "pen in your mouth". Just don't blow out clouds.

I vape at my desk though no one knows it. I am on the end of a hallway and there are 4 empty cubicles between me and the next person (reduction in force and happy I still have a job). I take a drag every now and then and blow it out discretely. I still go outside when I really want to vape steadily like when I smoked analogs. Everyone who smokes out there knows about them but

I've never brought it up to management and don't see any need to. Never know which way they might go.

I vape all day at my desk. My cube is located in the corner so it's fairly discreet. I was the first one at my office to get a PV. Since then I've converted several others, including my boss (VP), HR manager, Production manager and a shift supervisor haha..so I'm lucky that I can pretty much vape anywhere I want at work. The only reactions I've had so far have been positive. People just laugh when the see me puffing away at my desk, but I work in a fairly close knit small(ish) office. We all know each other pretty well and don't sweat the small stuff...

My point in all this is that I don't have to hide and run the risk of someone finding out and possibly lose my job or get into some kind of disciplinary action. My main point in starting the thread was that I was surprised at how accomodating my employer was and how happy I was that I didn't have to "hide" what I was doing.

The stalls aren't see through, but I don't know if someone will be coming in the bathroom until they are already there. At some point I can see how someone may see "smoke" because I didn't anticipate them coming into the bathroom and have expelled vapor. Sometimes even when I hold my breath there is some vapor expelled so that may be seen. As a "go-to person" my cubicle is open and people are coming in and out of my area all day, the LED would probably give it away as something other than a pen. Or the fact that when I answered their question little wisps of vapor were trainling from my mouth.

I try to be proactive rather than reactive.

I vape at work, but only in seclusion. There are alot of anti's there and I prefer to let them think they have won the war, so to speak. It works out great most of the time as I do not have to go out in thecold anymore. E-cigs do not work well when the temp gets low. I mostly vape in an empty conference room, sometimes in the bathroom. The main thing, it's warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. Works out great for me, lol. Keep vaping at work under wraps, unless you work for an understanding company. A few people know about me, but it hasn't bothered anyone yet. I plan on keeping it that way.

I started vaping inside our building (a Federal one, at that), about a month and a half ago, and no one has said anything negative yet. I vape discretely, and still feel like I have to hide it (I know.. I shouldn't). There are about a dozen others in my building who have started vaping in the past month, and a few of them were bolder than I have been. One went right to his boss, showed it to him, and blew a puff of vapor and asked him to smell it. He's still vaping in the office now, a month later. But, I still hesitate because when MY boss called for me about two months ago and a coworker said "He's out smoking", she responded, "Oh, I didn't know he smoked... I'll PRAY for him." I'll be content to keep vaping privately, and thank God MYSELF for e-cigarettes...

Guess it all depends on how you do it, and who's in charge :)

im vaping in my office right now :p if they fired me for it, i would sue, NO JOKE

its no different than using a nicotine inhaler or any other thing like that they have out now to quit, so seriously... if they fire you for it, get a good lawyer and sue

this being said by the way, no one here cares that i smoke the e cig, my boss wants me to quit real smokes and all the other ppl here are fascinated by the e cig so its all good ; )

keep in mind i also go out side too when i need to stretch my legs, im a developer so im sitting down in front a computer all day so i still need breaks

I'm new to vapping but I seem to feel like I'm doing something illegal when vapping in public. At work I keep it low key and keep watch for busy bodies that don't need to know.

At training this week at a different facility, I've been going out with the smokers but feel like I need to address the device before it is dialogued to others as being something that it is not.

One wierd thing for me is that I seem to get a better vape when I'm at home. For whatever reason when I'm driving or at the office I feel a need to hotbox the damn thing. Ofcourse this then leads to recharging batteries wherever I go.

I just tried the pen spring mod in the cart which has brought some improvement but I need to attempt a better execusion and perhaps get a higher nicotine level.
