That's the next cdc initiative against teen use of e-cigs. "tobacco use may give you lung cancer but that's inside. E-cigs cause acne. Do you want acne? "

ROFL... so go right on and smoke, and you'll make a much prettier corpse. :p

I've been suffering from acne about a month into vaping. I find that 75 pg 25 VG helps it lesson along with face wash , coconut oil and aloe Vera plant. My friends can't believe that I am still using the ecig because of my face. It's because I don't want to smoke and I know I will figure out this acne stuff sooner or later. It is getting much better now after 6 months of switching to the vape. Not sure if it is the toxins still after being this long. But hang in there and if it doesn't clear up in a month or so, then try lowering the PG and then if that doesn't work try lowering the VG .

The whole vaping causing zits thing doesn't add up for me. If anything you should make sure you keep your hands and gear clean. I would think contact with juice, and the nastiness that can build up on a drip tip are more likely to cause a breakout than inhalation of vapor.

People shouldn't be so quick to blame things on vaping, it seems after they start some take the opportunity to say the anything going wrong must be vaping's fault.

Excuse me? I take offence to your comment. How dare you say suggest that the OP keep their hands and gear clean. I too have got acne since a month into vaping and I can assure you my gear, yes that that drip tip is darn well clean and not dirty. I am one of the cleanest people I know , that goes for my house and my body. I hate to break it to you, but there has been people who have gotten acne due to either VG or PG. So yes vaping can cause acne until one figures out which one their body is reacting too. The acne may or may not be from the body getting rid of toxins either, But who are you to suggest that people with acne are not being clean with their hands and vaping tip? Okay I can let the hands thing go but not suggesting they keep their mouth piece dirty too. That's just gross and again offensive to me as I have acne since vaping. I do not place dirty tips i my mouth.

I've always had mild acne. I'd always assumed it was because of the analogs and put up with it - there was no way I was going to the docs to be told to quit smoking! I KNEW I should quit smoking, I didn't need a medical professional telling me so!

Anyway, one of the reasons I switched to vaping was because I'm nearly 30 and I'm fed up with having spots. It's been a month (not that long) and I still have spots. In fact, about a week or two ago, I had a horrible outbreak. But I'd already read that quitting smoking can make you break out, so I'm not too worried.

My face is just about clearing up after that break out. But there's every chance I just have oily skin and am stuck with spots for life. I'm going to give it two more months then beg the docs to fix me!

Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure I have a VG sensitivity. Whenever I vape any juice with VG, my tongue goes numb - a bit like when you take a swig of too-hot coffee, or scald the roof of your mouth with pizza. I thought I had VT but I switched back to 100% PG liquid today and my tongue is coming back to life. Bit sad, as the juice I love isn't customisable in terms of PG/VG ratios.

I started having "spots" (mostly blackheads and the occasional "zit") at the age of 8. By the time I was 11, I had full-on stage 4 acne, boils the size of nickels on my cheeks, which persisted till I was 16 and my mother finally allowed me to go on birth control pills to get my hormones under some sort of regularity. As if by magic, the acne cleared up, and stayed cleared up till I went off the pill in my 20s because of health concerns. When I was pregnant at 27, it came back for a while, cleared up, and came back again in my 40s when I went thru almost 10 yrs of peri-menopause, which is sort of like adolescence in reverse. Now, the vaping really has no effect on my skin, though I think my color is better, and my upper arms and upper thighs don't have that "roadmap" appearance. So in a younger person, I think the improved circulation would most likely lead to a short-term breakout, that "purging" someone mentioned, and then clear up *because* of the improved circulation.

According to my quit smoking app, my circulation is only 33% back to normal. But I always had cold hands and feet as a child! 2 months. Plus a couple extra for good measure. Then I'll see whether it was the analogs or just my oil-ridden skin! I get them in my upper arms and back, too :(

I can only add to what others have been saying : didnt happen to me but i never was much prone to acne anyway, however it DID happen to a friend of mine when she made the swith ...ITS NOT the ejuice or the vaping, like others have said your body starts a general "detoxing" when you quit or substantially cut down on the cigs...you can start coughing, breaking out and so on..DONT WORRY !!! :) this is ALL GOOD!it will go away in time(a few weeks to a month or two) and meanwhile remember that its a GOOD POSITIVE cleansing process, your body is just getting rid of the GUNK!!!Good LUCK, you'll see, it just gets better!

I originally quit on Feb 27, and it was still cold for some time after that -- I remember a few nights when the forecast was like, 20 degrees, and I'd do a little hoochie-koochie dance, not to have to go out there and suffer. But I noticed within 2-3 wks that the "popsicle paws" (my husband's term when I put my hands or feet on his body) were just gone -- warm hands and feet in the winter and early spring was a real novelty!! :thumb:

I regret to say that I will be going back to analogs. My acnes just keep popping and it is destroying my face. Even my wife who encourages me to quit smoking advised me to go back to analogs.

With my stingray mod clone and kayfun lite plus with a double nano coil build, I've enjoyed vaping almost as much as smoking for these past 6 months. However, unfortunately my skin is sensitive to vaping... sigh.

A pack of cigarette cost more than 8 USD here... gotten feel tight with my money again...

How I wish my I didn't have this skin allergy to vaping!!

Thanks everyone who replied here.

So long... enjoy your vape.
