I have given up smoking cigarettes exactly a week ago. Without any intent to do so, I tried "vaping" from an e-cigarette and that did it for me. I do not have a need, desire, urge to smoke cigarettes any more. Oh, I tried to light one up a few (5?) times since then, but I found that I prefer my e-cig. This, after 44 years of every-single-day smoking cigarettes. Not trying to quit even once, because I was chicken to do so. With the e-cig, I did not have to even *try* - I just prefer it.
Yes, I am "vaping"/inhaling juices containing relatively small amounts of nicotine (= the main addictive chemical of cigarette smoking), but I am not inhaling the other hundreds' of nasty things present in cigarettes (tar, CO2, etc.). This is just nicotine in vapour plus flavours. And speaking of flavours, that's where it gets really INTERESTING. On recommendation, I tried Green Apple flavour juice! And it is WOW! The Marlborough-like juice is OK, but I am eager to try the Mango flavour sitting there on the shelf.
My body is reacting to this (I guess, as a withdrawal reaction), by overheating, but it's been a very hot summer this year anyway. Overall, the body reaction is far less unpleasant than what I would have expected.
I love this vaping lifestyle. I can suck on my e-cig in the office whenever I feel like; and in the car too, without worrying about the ashes being blown all around. It is all just vapour!
Oh yeah, and it is *far* cheaper than regular ("analog") cigarettes in Ontario, Canada. And a lot more fun too.
