Or put something down, turn around, turn back around and it's gone. I swore I just put it there.

Just so you know, these things REALLY do happen. One time I was in Australia, I saw an Aborigine sitting on a stone wall holding a didgeridoo . I went and talked to him for a a while. When I looked away and looked back he was gone. The field on the other side of the fence was empty :)

“Somewhere in the cosmos, he said, along with all the planets inhabited by humanoids, reptiloids, fishoids, walking treeoids and superintelligent shades of the color blue, there was also a planet entirely given over to ballpoint life forms. And it was to this planet that unattended ballpoints would make their way, slipping away quietly through wormholes in space to a world where they knew they could enjoy a uniquely ballpointoid lifestyle, responding to highly ballpoint-oriented stimuli, and generally leading the ballpoint equivalent of the good life."

Now THAT would scare me.

At least the things that I lose turn up eventually..................most of the time.

This thread is starting to get a bit off topic. I apologize for my contribution to that. Time to refocus on the reasons why people SHOULD use nicotine. I think the main point is, that is nicotine can, at least, partially loose its negative connotation, it would become much less of a looming boogeyman for the anti-vaping crowd.

Placebo or whatever, if I can quit walking around looking for my car keys that are in my hand I will call it win! :)

God... this morning I was hunting all over for the other 18490 battery.... which I eventually realized I had already put in the mod!!!

I don't think I'll be lowering my nicotine anytime soon. :D

I was married for 40 years. She died suddenly a few months ago
My nervous system took a shock. A hard shock.
A bad nerve pain I can feel all the way to my feet.
Nicotine helps me with that pain.

I was smoking 1 or 2 cigarettes a day, (pulling off little pieces and using a cigarette holder) but I was tired of that.
I tried vaping and liked it, but my first couple tries of hardware/liquid wasn't quite right.

I recently found a much better combination for me (due to you fine people who set me on the path) and I love it.
The nerve pain I was experiencing is controlled and I have no desire for tobaccy.

Honestly I still sometimes smoke a little part of a cigarette, but that is just habit. Its over before I realize what I'm doing.
When I give a moments thought, I would much rather have the vape.
Tastes so much better. Doesn't burn my tongue. I don't have to go outside in the cold.
Yeah I know I live alone now, but still I would rather my house didn't smell like tobacco.

So, in the rare case of shock induced nerve pain, you have one persons vote that nicotine helps
and vaping is by far better than smoking tobacco.

I can second the pain relief but I wonder if it's just from the calming affect of nic. I've been over exerting myself at work to the point every joint and muscle hurts. When I vape my 12 mg I can feel the pain ease With cigs that affect is magnified probably due to one of the many alkaloids boosting the nic effects.

My wife continuously derides me for my (what she considers) bizarre health improvement choices, and, of course, vaping nicotine for cognitive improvement was among them. She has, however, been plagued with severe sinus symptoms. She is constantly snorting and sniffling and hasn't been fully able to breathe through her nose for months. She's tried various antihistamines and pseudoephedrine over-the counter stuff which only slightly reduces her symptoms, although she did have some luck with a long-term antibiotic sequence about six months ago. Last night, as she continued to make obnoxious sounds while watching TV, I told her that, even though I thought she was going to ridicule me for the suggestion, I had a suggestion of what she might try for her sinusitis. I then relayed to her all of the stuff I've read here about propylene glycol inhalation and effects on congestion and antibacterial and antiviral and let her read a few papers dealing with the use of propylene glycol as an environmental treatment for hospitals and workplaces. I couldn't believe it when she told me she would try it (i.e., desperation motivates people, I guess :) ). So, today, I made up 30ml of 82/18 PG/VG (with 2% of the PG containing raspberry and menthol flavors). I tried the mix in a cleaned EVOD-clone, and the batch tasted pretty good, but without any nicotine throat hit, whatsoever. I sucked on the stuff for about 10 min straight, got no unpleasant tastes (although the flavors started to adapt after a while) nor any untoward breathing or other respiratory effects. I still had one unopened EVOD-clone, so I loaded it up with the juice and will give it to her when I get home from school today. I'll report back if she shows any improvements. If this works, I'm pretty sure she might start vaping her juice with nicotine. She, too, is an ex-smoker who hasn't touched a cigarette in over 40 years, and I know she could stand a bit of cognitive improvement :)

You could relay to her my experience for cognitive improvements. From age 21 or so in a fog after quitting cigarettes, didn't feel really that un-fogged before, but I've been vaping 2% nic juice and have been feeling much more awake and my memory seems a bit sharper. Good luck to your wife. If what she has has to do with allergies, I also recently started using Flonase and it seems to be working unlike other allergy medications I've used, like Claritin D.

Thanks for offering your info to her,,, Well, she vaped for about 5 min tonight. I don't want to press the "nicotine is good for you" to her until she gets a result, yes or no, from her vaping PG. Right now her sinusitis is her main medical priority. About the allergies, she went to an allergist about 18 months ago. He injected her with all kinds of s*** and all she got out of it was a sore arm. I'll pass on the Flonase suggestion to her if the PG vaping doesn't work. Again, thanks.

too long, didn't read

Long story short, I started at 24mg, then went down to 12mg but found out that my ADHD spiked so I upped my nic to 18mg and it has really helped me, I did like the lower nic taste and didn't need more nic so I did it just for medical reasons

but here are to interesting links
Nicotine, the Wonder Drug? | DiscoverMagazine.com
Will a Nicotine Patch Make You Smarter? [Excerpt] - Scientific American

I just quoted myself to put some history...

as I see it the human race has 3 wonder drugs on its arsenal for mental improvement

1 coffee (it was the trigger for the enlightenment Tri-College Omeka Site | Coffeehouse Culture : Coffeehouses & The Enlightenment)
2 chocolate (really close to coffee Chocolate and Mood Disorders | World of Psychology)
3 nicotine (I quoted above some links)

those three drugs really help me out and I don't see any adverse effects

Chocolate was under attack too:

Apparently there are people that want to run the world as a labor camp. Soylent Green and work some harder!!!!

Yes, and they have to make absolutely certain that nobody anywhere is enjoying themselves whatsoever!!!

God, I hate puritans. I wish England had just burned them as heretics instead of letting them escape to infect America with their masochistic idiocy.
