I quit tobacco the day I got my pv (check out my siggy for the exact time), and THANK GOD (and I'm not saying thank God in a slang kind of way - I've actually prayed my thanks). If I were still a smoker I'd be fit to be tied by now.
I've been in the hospital since Tuesday, and it is a tobacco free campus. Not a nicotine free campus. If I had wanted, I could have gotten the patch to get my beloved nicotine, but the patch has never agreed with me so I didn't even ask. For the first time in my adult life I've been able to say "no!" when they asked if I use tobacco. Again - they don't ask if you smoke they ask if you use tobacco! Needless to say, while my doctors and nurses know that I vape, I haven't asked them if vaping is accepted/denied in hospital policy. They haven't asked, either, so I'm guessing it's a don't ask, don't tell kind of thing.
In short: thank God for vaping! And vape on, my friends!
