Does vapor make smoke detectors go off?
I doubt it.
I always thought smoke made detectors go off?

There must be something we can add to our liquids to make the vapor invisible ?

In 40+ years, I never set off a smoke alarm with a stinkie stick other than an e-cig. Nothing to worry about.

Same here. I travel just about every week and always used to try to get smoking room. Had to stay at some really crappy nasty places just to be able to support the nasty habit of analogs. I've even put myself up at other hotels separate from my co-workers to get smoking rooms (they would stay at Marriott). Id come up with all sorts of stupid excuses why I don't want to stay with them at the same hotel like, Marriott screwed me over on a bill once so I wont give them my business anymore or I am banking all my Hilton points, want to be closer to the airport ect...

Not to mention the "stress" I would get when making my reservations to make sure I was even able to GET a smoking room as most hotels are going non-smoke now.

This was one of the major reasons I got into vaping. That and the stink on my clothes in the suitcase at the end of the week would really upset my girlfriend when she would do my laundry

Funny, this week I was in Louisville for three nights and my rep reserved me a smoking room (Ive traveled with him many times before so he knew I was a smoker). When I showed him my e-cig and told him all about it he asked me if I wanted to change to a non-smoke room. I kept the smoking room "just in case" since I still had a pack of analogs in my briefcase. I think I burned two of them the whole trip and vaped like mad all the other times. The past week has been the point where Im totally off analogs now :)

Next week, "non smoking room please" :)

Reminds me of one time I turned on the heater to kill some of the chill in the room. I guess it had not been used in a while because it gave off that nasty burning smell and it set off the smoke detector in the room.

I called the front desk to let them know and they send someone up. All she did was climb up on my bed to pull the battery out..lol..

I could have done that myself

I had to go out of town last minute and have vaped for days in non-smoking rooms, no problems at all. As I was telling my wife, if they even smell anything at all, they certainly would not suspect any form of a cigarette because e-cigs smell nothing like cigarettes. I have no worries and haven't been "fined". In fact, I am sitting in a hotel room as I write this, my 510 in hand. :)

I often travel by plane for work and am concerned about getting past security, but I saw that thread and hope that when the next time comes, they will not confiscate my stuff. If they do, I plan to ask him, "So you are going to take my e-cig supplies and FORCE me to buy a pack of cigarettes!?!" I just recently started vaping, and as an analog smoker, travelling and hotels are a pain in the .... (no pun intended). I think the e-cig will make that much easier.

The countries I go to for work..... atleast recently.... there is no such thing as a non-smoking room. Hallways, the lobby, the airport.... where you want a puff, you puff. And these are premier hotels in the area.

I do wonder what what it will be like now that I can smell the difference (after only a few days, too! Def. excited :D)

On a plane, you blow the vapor toward the floor. No problems.

Oh goodness, I wouldn't even attempt to vape on a plane. Probably more of a question for the very cute RIAFlight25, but knowing my luck they would probably emergency land the plane fearing that my PV was some sort of explosives device!

As for the hotel thing, as long as they don't smell smoke, they should be good to go since there is no smoke.

I am very careful to hold in vapor till there is nothing to breathe out. Yesterday I walked into the waiting room of my doctors office, and could smell that someone sitting in there was a smoker. OMG! Never smelled that before! Came home and asked my son if that is what its like...he said if its been hours then you cant tell so much, but recently...yeah...so I vaped in there. In my opinion, if I have my 510 in my mouth and dont breath anything out, I am not bothering anyone...just the same as if I stuck my pen in my mouth or sucked on a toothpick or lollipop. There really is nothing to complain about that way. On a plane is different because they are all on the lookout for weird stuff...but....

So. Cal!!
Im going on a short vacation next week,.. and I cant WAIT to vape in my hotel room!
When I smoked tobacco, even in smoking rooms, I had a hard time doing it because everything you brought out of the room after the stay stuck to the pits o' he** from the smoke. I would most times just end up going outside on the the balcony if there was one.

Finally,... freeedom!
