Based on my Experience in Singapore, E-Cigs will :
1, Eventually get picked up by tabloid media (Newpaper),
2, blown out of proportion
3, clamped down hard
4, blown over
with absolutely nothing achieved for smokers who sincerely wish to help themselves.
Its wiser to get such media standing WITH you sooner rather then later. The media should be provided your side of the story rather then some pretentious self righteous Government Health Official who demonize addiction to Nicotine while themselves addicted to tobacco Tax revenue.

There is no such thing as truly free (or i rather use the term Unbiased) press anywhere in the world. Yes. Even US. I believe our US forummer will agree with me.
At this point, I wouldn't think the Govt is going to use the media as a right hand slap to e-cigs as YET. But the press should be provided YOUR story first. Not some babbling non-smoking politician whose interest are obviously better served somewhere or health industry official whose aim is to take away every single enjoyment for humankind.
Hope to see e-cigs lawful in Singapore as i always travel here. Right now, getting liquid feels like trying to get Class A drugs.

Government is above us all, they can do anything they want. For those who have not post up short story, please do so. Those are important to the media. I hope all can help to contribute the true part of the story of being a vaper.

For the media part, we are just too small in group and seriously our true story of quitting tobacco smoke from vaping vaporizer are not proven to 1% of the smokers population of SG. so how can we make this big? The media just can't report saying a 100 of vapers spotted in SG and they quit smoking. In this way they are promoting but who can allow them to do so? Who pay them? Who will approve their story to write in news?

Right now, e-cig is seen as another innovative way to 1) deliver nicotine to 1self , 2) get addicted and 3) a party device.
Show an e-cig to anyone and most will think of the shisha shrunk to a handsize version.
I've not seen the news that another forummer spoke abt yet but best guess is that its NOT mentioned as an alternative to smoking that has proven to kill and no mention of actual people who have quit smoking with e-cigs.
As for the media, I doubt any Editor will engage himself into researching into e-cigs.
However, with the legalization in NZ and now available in pharmacies, politicians might reconsider their position.
