Cooties. Think about it. Cooties. Did you ever hear about them before fog machines were invented? No, you did not(*).

Clearly, with the spread of the PV, we're seriously endangering the children with the risk of a cooties outbreak.

*Factually, the fog machine was invented in the 1960's, long before that soldiers used the term "cooties" to mean "lice." Cooties in its modern usage started in the 1950's. (The More You Know graphic here)

Along with the OPs post, I've heard Strep throat can be spread through vaping and told by a gal puffing on her cigarette that pneumonia WILL be caused by vaping.

My brother walked in the house today and saw me Vaping happily away. He stopped and looked at me, before saying something along the lines of "Put that down and just smoke normal cigarettes, mate - they're linked to Cholera". Cholera? Where did that come from? Unfortunately these remarks are becoming a common occurrence for me: two or three of my social group have also stated that e-cigs are unhealthily and almost as bad for you as smoking.

I sometimes have to really resist the urge to laugh in their face . . .

First and foremost, you've got to stop resisting that urge to laugh in their faces!

Isn't this how urban legends get started? Some ignorant (ignorance is not stupidity BTW) fool gets a hairbrained idea and before you know it, there is a reality show searching for the aliens that brought the technology for vaping to the earth. Sounds absurd when you put it like that huh? That is how the media likes to spin it anyway! I saw a segment the other morning about kids dying from drinking e-juice. What they failed to mention is that if a child eats a cigarette, the same thing can happen. Lord knows we don't want the public to know that one. Do we?

Haha, spot on. Though I'd definitely find it easier to eat a cigarette - unpleasant but nothing compared to the pain of just getting one drop of eliquid on your tongue.

Unless you have feces in your eliquid I doubt you'll get cholera.

NO NO NO!!!! Its ideas like this that cause outbreaks. should one escape it is cause for great panic, as they reproduce by the thousands. We have been working to contain and eradicate the ANTZ epidemic wery hard. Of the methods that have been tried most are slow to take effect. Once established, invasive species can and will do great harm. Take the Brown Tree Snake on Guam, or Pythons in Florida for example........
