@KenD I did some more research and I see your point - I couldn't find a single reference to anyone who both tempers and anneals wire, because, as you said, they are intended to achieve opposite results.

So I've emailed Crazy Wire to ask why they do this, just FOI!
Really interested to hear their answer. Perhaps they sell the wire in two version, tempered OR annealed.

image.jpg image.jpg Believe it or not my VF SXK/Infinite arrived today! It was in Chicago since Monday with no tracking updates until this morning saying it was out for delivery & I live Tennessee! Plus I got a bunch of juice on sale this weekend & got it too. So it was a good morning! Too bad I have to work this afternoon. As you can see ST mini clone is working great with authentic OCC coils.

Just about any dual coil atty that doesn't require long legs (like a Veritas or Marquis) will work just fine. But the trick is, you use 30ga or 32ga.

28ga, tempered OR annealed, is just rubbish for DNA40/ChiNA40 devices IMO. 30ga simply isn't that bad to work with, and even 32ga is manageable.

And then there's this method, if you're having troubles with wicking after mounting the coil:

Just wondering why marquis and veritas wouldnt work for nickel? or did i misunderstand? i use both with nickel builds, veritas in single coil, and marquis in dual.. seems to work great. especially the marquis is a great vape, my favorite RDA right now.

No it's definitely the same single spool that they say is "both tempered AND annealed." Just that capitalised 'AND' tells me they knew it would sound odd/unusual!

Their other Ni200 offering is "Hard Finish" which is hard drawn - they don't state if that is also tempered and/or annealed first or if they hard draw the base Ni200.

Anybody else try these new nickel coils out. I just got them today. They're .25 ohm Atlantis ni200. The also fitted a juice control ring. I'm playing with one now and it's power hungry. I have my VS DNA 40 maxed out at 40watts, 470°. They're made by - vapeonly. $10 for a 5 pack over at vapenw.com. Might have to throw it on the p4u ipv4 and max it out at 50 joules.IMG_20150528_173141-1.jpg IMG_20150528_173125-1.jpg

I have never heard of that brand but it is a decent price for ni200 pre-made. I wonder if they only make them for the Atlantis?

Atlantis and Nautilus only so far I've seen. Over at sweet-vapes.com. first coil head where I don't have to keep the juice control all the way open. The head starts to flood a lil if I do with milk and honey since its a 50/50 blend. Juice ports are nice and big. That's good though, I'd rather be able to adjust the flow down rather than up. They need a lot more power than those Kanger ni200 heads though. Great flavor/vapor, it's almost like drinking your e juice the vape is so dense. :thumb:

Has anyone seen a supply of the 60W TC chipsets Infinite is using? I still have a Chana box searching for a tenant.

I have only seen the Rayn V3 DNA 40 clone board for sale at desire-e cig.com and that's even out of stock. If you do happen to find the 60 watt sxk/infinite board let us know.
I'm selling my RAYN v4 board in the classifieds right now. Pulled from a waidea flask and in perfect working condition.

I've 5 authentic sub tank (2 mini 3 nano) & no leaks. Once you get authentic occs your leak will probably go away. Lemo 2 highly recommended.
We've got 3 subtank minis in our family, all authentic, no leaks. 5 lemo 2s now? Again no issues. I'd recommend either tank without hesitation.

My first impressions of Vapor Flask 40w clone from Fasttech.......
I got the silver and the finish is very nice and smooth with no imperfections. The spring-loaded 510 seems sturdy and stable. The buttons are nice and crisp. "Up'" button seems to protude slightly more thsn "down". Battery Caps actually line up when tightened and batteries not inserted. But when I put batteries in the caps did not line up. I am wondering if they will if I pay attention and start screwing them on in the same direction. Something I wil have to play with if I get time. Inside the battery tubes is surprisingly clean. No signs of left-over paint or glue like I have read in some reviews. Samsung 25Rs slide easily in and out. The only thing like TheBloke and others have said, when you put batteries in you really have to put pressure on the battery caps and turn at the same time. The battery caps are flush when fully tightened.
I screwed on a couple of atomizers and the resistance reading seems accurate. Regular mode seems to function properly.
Temp. Protect mode seems to work fine. I vaped for about 2 straight hours playing around with it since this is my first mod with temp. protect. It works as far as I know. I set it at x number of watts and x temp and when it reaches that temp the temp. protect alarm flashes. It does seem kinda of inconsistent sometimes. Meaning if is set at same watts and temp it takes it longer or shorter to get to set temp. Which may be exactly how it is supposed to work depending on how many vapes you take in a row.
It is reading my nickel occ as it fluctuates. Ex. boxed the ohms were .15 and it read .14. After I let it cool for awhile reading was .12. After I got home tonight it had been sitting all day and it reads .11
So far I am really impressed with this mod. I can't complain about anything at this point. BTW no USB with the 40w either.
I really don't see how the original VF could be any better than this one. Time will tell.

Yeah, he's a tad expensive at $22 for 100' shipped. Stealth Vapes UK is $16 usd? I think for 164' (100 metres)...but about a week to get it.

Just letting the people know
100 meters is 328 feet.
50 feet costs me $14 from LV, and 65.5 feet from Stealth Vapes would be $18.39 (2 spools of 25' or 2 spools of 10 meters)
I think VAT is included in this price, it probably would be removed (20%)

I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Snowwolf 200 watt. There's just something about it that's says "Buy me and I'll never let you down, I promise." Will I ever use 200 watts? NEVER. Just diggin that .04 ni200 range. Dual coil with an available 70watts
I have a question about temp protect. I have been running this flask with a .14 ni200 occ. set at 20w & 450. Watching the read out as I Vape the temp starts to fluctuate & stay right around 350+/- a few degrees even after 6-7 second draw. Also held down fire button without taking a draw & watched temp for 6-8 seconds. If anything temp went down during that time from say 350 to 339. Is this normal? I thought it would keep going up

My bad it was 50 meters, which is 164 ft according to Google, of 28g tempered ni200 was £10.76 shipped to the USA, according to xe.com that $16.50 usd.

Ok I just cranked it up to 40w and the degrees say 375+/- next time I hit at 40w temp protect came on after about 2 seconds. Temp. Set at 440Fi know my tank is super hot.
I take it you're using the prebuilt nickel coil heads from Kanger/vaporshark? I have had both and was never happy with the quality control on them. I'd look down into the atomizer head to see how the coil was wrapped and noticed on a lot of them that the coils were touching and also never liked how they were held in by the blue rubber grommet insulator thing(the more solid of a connection between the tank and device the better for temp control.) I noticed that with some heads I would never reach my my set temp limit(420° at 40 watts barely got me above 300° sometimes.) I stopped buying them and have been making my own in my lemo2 and Kanger sub mini with the rba. Plain Jane 28 gauge 9 wraps about .11ohms. Made sure to curl the wires under the screws and tightened them till they smiled. No problems since. Vapin at 470° 32 watts on my VS DNA 40 right now, what a treat!
