Try about 6 or 7 wraps Chief, that should put you around 0.15 ohms. Try wattage between 15 to 20 watts, temp set to 420 or so (if using cotton), should flash TC message pretty quick if you're not drawing on it, and hold pretty steady around 390-410 with airflow.

Your basic problem is too much coil mass for that wattage setting.

When building coils for these things, try to shoot for above 0.1 and below 0.2 for best results.
Thanks, It's all a big experiment for me right now. I dropped the temp down to 250 just to see if the TC worked, it does !

I'm up to 24.5W now, I'm enjoying the flavor. I'll rip this out tomorrow and try your suggestions. Right now I wanted to make sure it all worked.

I'm quite impressed so far.

I don't have any delay on mine at all, other than when it wakes from deep sleep and flashes "KX-40D".

Mine displays "hello" then the kx-40d, from deep sleep.. I am only running a single vtc5 in it, perhaps once a have both batteries this might make a difference.. (long shot) but as it stands now I definitely have a 1 second delay.

Chief,

:2c: - I think 250 F is too low. I believe VG boils around 290 to 300 F so at 250 F you will boil off your PG much faster than the VG and toward the end of your tank you will start to lose flavor because most of your remaining juice will be VG.

I would suggest you raise your power to get your coil temp around 350 to 400 F. Brandon (the Evolv guy) runs his around 400 F. I don't know what he sets his TP at but you can leave it at 450 F with out doing harm to you or wet cotton or rayon. The burn point for the juice is at least 500 and above.

Not trying to tell you how to vape but 250 coil temp is just to low.

PG boils at 370.8 F

OK guys jump and correct me if I am way off base. :blink:

Right behind you...
Damn, even looks like the buttons are done right. Or, that could be a picture of a real VF again.

EDIT. Never mind, it is a clone:

This Black Vapor Flask DNA 40 Version 3 brings stainless steel 510 connection(non spring loaded)

EDIT AGAIN:

Looking at the silver version and seeing that brass firing button, I'm pretty sure this is the long-awaited Waidea "1:1" clone.

Its adjustable. Just not spring loaded.

??

Revised 510 connector (stainless steel);

The fixed center pin is made from brass;

??

Screw head on the v2, no slot on the v3 as far as I can see. Its clearer on the silver version.

aaaargghh

I hate to go on about it but there is also this..

This Silver Vapor Flask DNA 40 Version 3 brings stainless steel 510 connection(non spring loaded) and brass battery cover. Many vapers have waited for those features for so long. Now it comes finally. The only pity could be non spring loaded connection. You can adjust you atomizer to fit it though

Sounds like its a fixed 510 to me..
