Just received my Kangxin Vapor Flask V3 today from Focalecig. Ordered on March 11th.
I noticed that in TC mode the "TEMPERATURE PROTECTION" doesn't flash on the screen, however observing the temperature indicator that it will ramp up to the selected temperature. I chose a setting of 420 F @ 30 watts.
It will ramp up like this sequence here: 120 - 270 - 370 - 410 - 420 - 410 - 420 - 410 - 410 - 420 - 410 - 410 - 410 - 410 - 420 - 420 - 410F.
The intervals being about roughly 250 milliseconds apart... as best as I'm able to estimate.
So it definitely appears to be working, it may be the newer chip design that some have spoke about here.
Took me awhile to get it rolling, about 30 minutes or so fiddling around with the settings and buttons.
The manual is definitely not all that specific when it comes to the settings and it still states that "TEMPERATURE PROTECTION" will flash on the screen, which it now does not, instead showing the temperature adjusting as you're vaping to the desired temperature set.
I have NOT seen it go over the desired temperature setting yet. Hopefully I won't.
I'll keep fiddling around with it some more and maybe be brave enough to post a video...
My build is a ni200 28ga in a 3.5mm ID coil with 12 very slightly spaced wraps for a .19 ohm resistance. I used a Kuro Coiler to wind the coil and then gently pulled it apart to leave a minute space between the coil wraps. I am using rayon aka cellucotton as the wick in a Taifun GT 2 RTA.
I'm very much a n00b at this nickel coil building and such but feel mighty pleased so far that it hasn't gone south on me yet...
