I challenge someone who has one to post a video doing a dry burn on Japanese cotton (I would expect a fire!)

I needed a good laugh this evening. Literally every single part of this is wrong (or irrelevant, in the case of the patent.)

I love people whose ignorance is matched only by how arrogant they are about expressing that ignorance. Funny how those two qualities go together so often.

Took me forever to make a suitable video. First time I tried, it just wouldn't turn on at all. I made the whole video but then decided I wanted to show more of the range of symptoms, and prove it wasn't just that I had dead batteries (though I showed them on the charger etc as well.) Second time, it was working perfectly - actually the longest period that it has worked perfectly! Typical.. Anyway that did mean I got to vape on it for half an hour after I recorded that.

Then it stopped working again, and was showing the full range of symptoms - not turning on at all, turning on but not vaping, showing "Weak Battery" and turning off, etc. So I recorded all that, and edited it together with the working part so they could see both.

Made an 18 minute video in all, no idea if they'll actually watch all that! But they can't say I haven't tried everything, and showed them that I tried everything!

Now let's see if they are still being good about customer service...

Got my 32g ni200 from temco today, although found out my drill is basically useless now so not sure how I'm gonna make the twisted wire I was intending to use. Guess I will just have to try 32g by itself, unless someone has some suggestions.

I was going to try making twisted wire, but then I found one of the UK's best wire vendors (The Crazy Wire Company) sells pre-twisted wire. So I bought 10 metres (30 foot) of 2 x 28 gauge twisted, and another 10 metres of three strand, 2 x 30 gauge + 1 x 0.5mm ribbon cable. They have a few others variants as well. The best news was that it was the same price (or very nearly) as the standard wire.

I'm sure there's places you can buy pre-twisted in the US as well, although if they're vape shops they probably sell it quite a bit more expensive than standard.

Nice! I received Kangxin from Focalecig yesterday, oredered at the end of February. During the wait, I watched/read a few vids/reviews on both and couldn't help but order the Waidea on Monday. Folcalecig had a pretty good deal on em' (may still be going?) and shipped from the US warehouse. The Waidea looks to be sooooo much better in quality.

Let the waiting begin, again....

If you have a coffee cup and some pliers or equivalent you can twist some wire.

I twist mine using the coffee mug method, works a charm. Just put the 2 lengths around the handle of the mug and some pliers at the other end of the 2 wires and spin that mug until the wire snaps, usually at the handle end. Gets near perfect results every time.

I stick an I-bolt in my drill and run it slowly while holding other end tight with pliers. Gets the wire really tightly wound.

Might have to give that a shot even though I think we're gonna get a new drill since they are having a "spring black Friday sale" at Home Depot and have a decent deal on a combo li-ion tool set. And I saw that easter sale on the waida flasks for cheaper then I bought my kangxin(also bought my kangxin from focalecig). I almost ordered one too but couldn't justify buying 2.

Yeah you can justify it, one for each hand!

One thing I've noticed is when the battery indicator on mine says there is only around 1/4 in it my charger still reads the batteries with 3.8v in them. Does the battery indicator indicate what it thinks is the min for the battery and it should be changed or is it just wonky? In my sig 100+ if the battery is reading 25% it is usually around the 3.4v mark which seems more in line with what I would expect.

At first I thought it was just chewing through the batteries but the my charger is not indicating that. Maybe I can use this thing until it says the battery is drained and it will not have an adverse effect on the battery. Usually I'd change out a battery at around 50% charge left according to the indicator on the mod, seems I can change out a lot later, maybe down to 10% on the Waida VF without letting the Voltage drop too much.

If you have access to a drill I just stick it in the chuck, then hold the other end with pliers, works fine IMO.

I use an Allen key, long side in the drill. Works well. I usually do an arm's span of wire at a time, as long as I can make it and still hold the end and operate the drill. Twist at low-medium speed until it breaks on one end. Then I'll torch it to take the spring tension out, do an isopropyl soaked paper towel wipe down, spool it, and call it a day, with a few week's supply of twisted wire. Takes me about ten minutes start to finish.

On an Evolv DNA40 board if you hold the down button for an addition 1 second after it gets to 1 watt and if it's an Evolv DNA40 that is what it will say.
That's the 3rd DNA40 board I put in, I broke the screens off the other two due to having the board in the wrong spot. I'm sending them to Evolv tomorrow to have the screens replaced for $10 each which includes return shipping. I was beaten but I won the war.

That's not bad, since the cheapest replacement 0.69" 96x16 OLED with the proper length cable I could find (not counting China and several weeks wait) was about $15 shipped out of Greece of all places, and you still have to DIY.

You have a picture with the BB buttons installed, by any chance?
