That's not bad, since the cheapest replacement 0.69" 96x16 OLED with the proper length cable I could find (not counting China and several weeks wait) was about $15 shipped out of Greece of all places, and you still have to DIY. :)

You have a picture with the BB buttons installed, by any chance?

I have movement! Out of customs,
Your item arrived at our USPS facility in RICHMOND, CA 94804 on April 8, 2015 at 5:37 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
Should hopefully arrive tomorrow along with the He4's, xtar VC2 charger and my KGD cotton. Got my 32g ni200 from temco today, although found out my drill is basically useless now so not sure how I'm gonna make the twisted wire I was intending to use. Guess I will just have to try 32g by itself, unless someone has some suggestions.

take a piece of wire, say a couple of feet, take a heavy cup/mug and thread the wire through the handle. Fold the wire pretty much in half and grab the two ends with a pair of pliers. Spin the mug until the wire snaps either at the pliers end or the mug handle end! Simple!

whoops, just saw that this methods had already been posted. Sorry bout that!

I had just finished right before I left for work, finally got around to putting on my preferred RBA, Gaia. 0.26 ohms, 26 gauge nichrome, 2.5 MM id and rayon @ 40 watts. (dual coils)
Could use 50, 40's OK

I had to go pay a visit to an Ohm's Law calculator, my Reo does much better with this atty, going to have to build it towards 1 ohm to get the DNA board to make it shine.

Well from 3FVape I managed to beat you both, yet lose at the same time! 8 days from order to delivery, and that was crossing the 4 day Easter weekend; might have been 5-6 days without that.

But then of course it didn't work. :)
Yeah, it's a bummer about your flask. I hope my Kangxin holds up. I got worried at first. Only one battery was firing. Ended up being one of the battery caps. I had to scuff it a little with a small file to get it to have working contact with the battery. Has been working well since. I hope 3F takes care of you. I'm sure they will.

I reported some misfires on the Waidea earlier. It turns out that the problem was the amount of pressure I was applying when depressing the firing button. It seems that if you don't apply enough pressure, regardless of the click, firing will cease.

Also, I successfully pulled my pin back up using "Crescent" mini /needle-nose pliers. I noticed my subtank mini was screwing down more and more so I firmly but gently grabbed the pin and pulled. Its now back to where it was when I got the flask.

Those with Waidea, be careful not to over tighten your attys.

Hey Bloke, Sorry to hear about your struggles! After you make your video for 3F. Open her up and go to town. If you know to use flux, you know enough to do basic solder work in a glorified flashlight.

Hey Bloke, Sorry to hear about your struggles! After you make your video for 3F. Open her up and go to town. If you know to use flux, you know enough to do basic solder work in a glorified flashlight.

Thanks!

I've made the video and submitted it to 3F late last night, 10am their time. About six hours later I got an interim reply: "For your case, we need time to talk to our supervisor. Then we will come back to you."

I'm hoping that's a routine response. I'm pretty sure that they've at least opened my video on Youtube, judging by the view counter (it's unlisted so can't be found randomly.)

I'd love to get going on this flask but I can't be sure that they're going to tell me I can keep it. I know they did that with some customers a month ago, but they were Kangxins and who knows if that still applies, or ever applied to Waideas. So I have to hold tight until I know more. If they do ask for it returned, I will certainly complain - at the very least I want them to ship the new one out before they receive the old one back, else I'll be looking at anything up to a month delay. Plus I would want them to pay the return shipping, of course.

And I would quite truthfully tell them that buying from China was always a concern, and a big part of the reason why I went ahead was my understanding that 3F took on a big part of the risk themselves by handling returns efficiently and painlessly. I won't order from them again if I know that DOA products won't be quickly re-sent without fuss or cost.

But if they do handle it well, I will very likely order lots more stuff. I was browsing their New Products list last night and it was kid in a candy store type stuff. I can get decent quality clone attys for like £8 each, and high wattage mods for £25+. It's crazy - in a good way!

Hey did you guys know that Waidea are now becoming a brand in their own right? There's now a Waidea Storm 60 VW/VV 60W mod. It's basically an iStick variant, though not directly - similar design, same battery size, slightly bigger, higher wattage. What I found interesting was that its branded Waidea, so they're clearly trying to break out as a brand in their own right, not just a clone factory.

And it costs £26! Of course it might be a piece of junk, but it's equally possible that it's just as well built and usable as the iStick 50W.

So anyway, yeah. I hope 3F treats me well, and if they do I can see myself ordering literally dozens of products from them in future. At £26, I could very well just buy two of those mods, so I can keep one in the car, one in the shed, etc - mods for all places and occasions! :)

Heh, that Waidea Storm doesn't look half bad, and I wish more mod makers would center the 510 instead of offset like most are.

Meh, fire button placement is goofy IMO, too MVP 2.0 style.

Yeah I do really like the centred 510, but I also agree that the fire button position could be better. On a smaller mod it might look better, but this one is actually (relatively) chunky - 61mm wide, which is 50% wider than the iStick 50W.

I am pretty sure that it's got 2 x 18650 2200mah batteries internally, side by side - that seems to be the "cheap and cheerful" way that some of the Chinese companies are getting a high internal battery. That's what the Smok M80 has, and that comes out to 55mm wide. (If I'm right, that could be considered an advantage - potentially user replaceable down the line once battery life has degraded and one doesn't care about voiding warranty.)

Then again re size, I have to keep reminding myself that even "big" mods are actually really small (for me, anyway.) This is something that's happened to me throughout my vaping. I watch Youtube videos, I look at product photos, and then when I get the product in my hand - whether it be a mod, RBA, tank, whatever - my first thought is always "christ it's tiny!" :)

I just got my M80 out and tried "firing" it where the button would be on the Storm and it felt OK. Not quite as nice as a button on the side, where my finger naturally curls around it, but certainly not a problem. And actually if I hold it the other way, so that the screen is facing me, my thumb naturally sits in that position so I think I'd end up using my thumb to fire.

Received the Waidea clone from Focal today, I'm astounded by the quality of the machining and finish -there's not a single fault on it. The chipset seems to be performing very nicely too but I have a genuine DNA 40 board on standby if there's a failure.

I'm very happy with it so far.

Love the finish. Which link is that?

How does the Chinese DNA40 chip perform? My experience with clone DNA30 boards is very limited and from early on, when they first came around (c'Hanna) and they were over powered and sucked IMHO.

This is the black version, lighting makes it look kinda grey.
Board seems to be functioning exactly like the genuine Evolve - bit better probably.
