Pics now!
So if anyone get an idea to give this a shot use a FDV v4 or a Varitube.
There isn't quite enough threads on the FDV v3 to use the 22 mm washer.

Looks like you had to do some grinding to fit that in there. I'm thinking a stiffer spring or immobilizing the existing pin to make it a fixed pin. Yours looks OK though. I'm sure you're after functionality rather than aesthetics though.

It works good but I'm replacing it again.
Edit: Varitube 22 mm smooth on the way.
On another note, Velocity clone on the way.

Could you please check your new VF for a "low battery" message? The latest one I got (about 3 weeks ago) from Focal just decreases the wattage - no message.

I tried to see if the charging circuit worked last night before running it low. I will check today.
Lemo 2 NI200 .8 on ohm meter, .8 on Boxer, .8 on SXK rDNA.

To get a similar vapor quality and heat from the SXK rDNA compared to the 350j boxer I need to set NP setting of around 80

I should just not say anything but oh well. I proceeded to install a DNA 40 board and FDV v3 510 in my Waidea flask. I got the button covers and the innards out without a hitch. But then after looking at it for a while I re-assembled it with out doing a thing.
(chicken I guess)

@bloke where are you? Did your DNA 200 become self aware and kill you? I got my SXK Nebula today. Running down the list of things to look out for, such as, low resistance readings, no battery message, mushy buttons etc. So far this is what I found. As to the resistance readings, spot on now. Tried 7 atty's, all within a 10% tolerance. Mushy buttons, kinda. Looks like they used the top portions of c&k tactile buttons but used rubber underneath the BB, as if you were to place a BB on top of the DNA 40 onboard purple fire button and then added an audible click. It does show live resistance change when firing, kinda neat. Haven't gotten the battery drained far enough to determine if it has a weak battery message. You don't need to use the screws now in this version, it has peg guides built into the door that keep it on. Heavy, solid brass with a lacquer. Only thing I'm not liking is how aggressive it cuts wattage when temp limit is reached. Here's some tasty eye nourishment. My hands are kinda dirty from work, couldn't wait to open my vape mail, no time to wash proper, you understand, lol and my middle finger got caught in a sawz-all a few days ago, Ya it hurt, a lot.

10% error in ohm reading is too much in TC. I think they didn't fix the resistance bug

It's fixed the ohms are dead on. There was this black gunk on the top of the 510 pin when I tested the ohm readings. Cleaned off now reads all my pre made and self built coils spot on.

Just opened up my Kangxin to take measurements but I don't think any spring loaded connector will ever fit in there. There's 14mm of height to work with. The FD v3 is already 14mm without a wire soldered on so it's impossible for the center pin to move down. Has anyone found one that does fit?

I have fat daddy v3 short in my Kangix. Had to play a bit with it to fit, but everything is working as it should for several months now

I believe the FDV v3 shorty is 12.5 mm
Yeah, you're correct. But add to that at least 1mm for the wire that has to be soldered on and you're left with 0.5mm clearance for it to move down which doesn't sound like it's enough. I don't know how RainZG did it but I'll be receiving one soon so let's just see if it fits. If I can't fit it in then I just use the 22mm washer and mount it on top of the unit like described in this topic.
