This is what I read:

"Update 03/11/2014

My friend Stacey spoke with Jamie the founder and modder of the flask, today. Evolv did not figure out what is wrong with the dna40 over the weekend and start shipping again today....according to him....they still have no idea what is going on. He has stopped shipping out flasks since last Thuesday....waiting on Evolv to find a solution.

I'll keep you all in the loop"

Yeah....except I have a tracking number due to arrive tomorrow for the very unit I enquired about on the first...which means vf shipped it back to Dixie's and they have shipped it to me....something doesn't add up there as vf is obviously shipping the units that were ordered.

(sent from Mars, it's not as red as I imagined.)

Don't you think it was shipped before Tuesday when the sh** hit the fan.

Well damn! Add me to the list of bad boards.

One was working pretty good until yesterday morning. Got a garbled screen on my way to work. Vaped it anyway. Once I got into the office, it worked fine the rest of the day. Wondering if the errata section in the data sheet will fix it.

Used my second one in TC mode for the first time yesterday. Worked fine with Kanthal for few days. Started off fine but then all settings went wonky. Not a garbled screen but ohms, temp and watts all changed to some ridiculous numbers. That one's a definite RMA. *sigh*

I'm sure that Evolv will get to the bottom of it and yes, Vapor Flask has exceptional CS I have personally found (missing fire button on a DNA30 Flask that was overnighted to me).

Don't want to jinx myself but I brought the Flask that garbled on me once in to work today. Has not happened again.

Just received this message speaking with them through FB. "As of this morning evolve has agreed to handle the repairs on the boards, in the next few days they will be setting up an RMA process to deal with any faulty dna 40 issues. We have your name written down and we will contact you and post on our facebook page when this is ready. We feel this is the best and most direct way to fix the issues."

Well......

The threads on one of the battery cap is truly horrendous. It is rough, crunching and takes a lot of effort to screw in and out.

The positive connection on that same side protrudes out exactly 4mm higher than the other side.

Battery tolerance is super tight. My LG HE2, Efest purple and Samsung 25R Don't fit. Only the vtc4 does. Hmm

Hmmmmmmm on the machining....

Phil calls out the tight battery compartments...if you have stickers on the batteries, it may be too snug.....

The bottom button sticks out quite a bit more and is wriggly

I did managed to push the purple Efest in without too much trouble actually. But. You can def see the inconsistency of the connection height

Charging port card is veeeery exposed. You def don't wanna get even a drop of water on it

What are the lines across the screen?

Oh. That's just the difference between the screen and my camera's refresh rate. Kinda like how things looks wonky when you try to take a picture of a computer screen. It looks perfectly fine in person

Well I really hope you're one of the lucky ones that don't have any issues with the DNA40. Although I'm not worried. I know between VF and Evolve they will get any problems taken care of. It's just a little inconvenience. :)

So far so good. Not entirely sure how I can try to replicate the issue but we'll see
