I believe the Samsung 25r are too tight from what I read. Lg he2 looks like they fit

Yup, LG HE2's work. One side was a little snug but not so tight that I couldn't get it out.

A page or two back sedge posted a video showing different batteries that fit and those that didn't.

So what's the word on suitable batteries for this thing? I have several Sony 30amp batteries, but they're all used, and I kinda wanted to go with a pair of new batteries, but obviously Sonys are currently out of the question.:) (see what I did there)

I have a couple of sets of "authentic" (because who really knows anymore) VTC5s set to go for when I get mine. But, as others have said, anything that can do over 16a continuous should be fine. 20a batteries like the LGs (IIRC) would do fine and give some additional headroom.

That's the right one. I'm waiting for a response also.

What email are you guys with issues contacting them at? I'm having more and more issues with my board and sent an email to info@vaporflask.com but don't seem to be getting a response.

Thanks

He's dealing with a lot of back and forth between evolv and vendors... Give them time ... The rma process will be up in a week or so..

Yeah, I get that and I probably am a little impatient. I realize my issues are not their fault. I just don't like the thought of spending that much on a device and having these kinds of issues. But, all my issues have been with the chip.

I emailed them on Monday morning and received a response late afternoon.

"Ok so that is a problem with the programming from Evolv. There were a few batches from the initial runs that are having issues when in temp mode. We are currently working on a fix with Evolv. We are also setting up an RMA system for repairs that will keep everything organized. If we can ask 2 things from you. 1 Give me an email address to record down to get the RMA form to you and 2. Hold on to your mod for a few days and enjoy it with Kanthal. We are extremely sorry for the wait but we will have the RMA form out to you later this week."

Mine totally locked up today using kanthal. I had to remove the batteries to reset it. I must really have a bad chip. :(
Yep, mine too, parked until I can send it back

I only had one weird lockup. It was in temp mode, and it had been sitting in the car all day in the cold. Still vaped perfectly, just partially garbled screen. Took out batteries and it was fine after.

In my experience, it was fine for about 2 days, then it started and got progressively more frequent.

Like I said "supposedly" :) this person said he spoke with Jamie or something like that who is the owner of Vapor Flask in he told him they are no longer shipping flasks because Evolv has no idea what the problem is. I personally doubt they are "testing" every single device they are sending out, and even if they did I doubt they`ll use them long enough to accurately test for any flaws in the chips, some people are reporting problems after 2-3 days of problem free use.

Based on the email response to me...they are doing additional testing..

Not a recall. We are just having to do more thorough testing on units before they go out, so we've delayed shipments to resellers until early next week.

Hi =)

I was just told that my order was not going to be fulfilled as expected because you had an Evolv DNA 40 board recall. Can you confirm this?

Thanks,
Norma"

This is what I read:

"Update 03/11/2014

My friend Stacey spoke with Jamie the founder and modder of the flask, today. Evolv did not figure out what is wrong with the dna40 over the weekend and start shipping again today....according to him....they still have no idea what is going on. He has stopped shipping out flasks since last Thuesday....waiting on Evolv to find a solution.

I'll keep you all in the loop"
