Electronicstix is a stand -up company and I'm sure Jason will address any concerns correctly.

as you can see, the samsung and the electronicstix battery has the same thick "double" ridge at the top, while the sony has a double ridge as well but its much thinner. Also the print under the wrap on the authentic sony uses "dots" while the fake is more of a solid print (not the qr code, the actual print that says vtc5). will upload more pics

The fake is in the middle. You can also see the seam is different on the fake. I tried to take a picture of the printed text underneath but it was difficult to see with the lighting I have
Jason is real responsive on Twitter and Facebook. That middle one doesn't look like any Sony I've seen. [emoji24]

I've been hearing (reading) the same thing about the Hanas. Fortunately for me, this hasn't been the case. I have two (authentic) and both have been flawless and replaced everything I own as my go-to mod. Yet, I'm still hoping to find a VF soon.

I've had several Hanas. No issues with them - flawless. None with the V1 VF either. We must be lucky? ;)

I posted on his sub-forum and used his websites contact form, but will contact him via facebook. Thanks!

Great, I just got 3 from them today, my first Sony VCT purchase, and if that middle one is the fake I think the 3 I got are too as they all end in the same number as your pic. I was worried it might be too good to be true when I found them since it seems everywhere else is out of stock but as others have said, I can always count on Electronicstix so hoping this isn't true but I have no clue.

Please let us know what Jason says.

Thanks

I am stunned, with brighter lighting and reading glasses, I can now see the differences.
I have 14 VTC5s, six which were purchased from Electronicstix that exhibit the thicker ridges on the top cap and lighter shade of wrap.
Guess, we will see what unfolds....

When did you buy those? I thought they've been out of stock for a while. Those look like xtar tagged vtc5's (the same ones I got from battery junction)
