I wonder what tests they ran, and if they were scientific. Not dogging them, just curious

They sent me the email confirming they are fakes and they woul give me a refund. And to send them back to them for "disposal."

Just got them. Don't really know yet. They are a pretty yellow though. [emoji1]

I haven't used them in a mech yet but the Provari P3 loves them as well as the Vapor Flask.

Yeah, definitely looks like a bad board. They had a few in their earlier builds.

Contact VF and they will make it right in short order.

Outcome: he instructed me to do the fix in the dna 40 data sheet... I could have sent it in but I'm pretty handy...

Removed batteries

Removed 4 screws slowly lifted it up so as not to disturb the 510 connection wires...

Took some liquid electrical tape and let it dry so it's a little solid... Took a toothpick and slid some of the more solid stuff between the ribbon and the board...

Rolled up a piece of electrical tape and put it between the oled and the side wall by one of the screws to push the oled display into alignment so it's no longer crooked either...

Reassembled and it all works now... No more occasional "Klingon" on the screen!

Be very gentle in working thee tape in... If u have to force it, it's too much force

Glad to hear that you got it all "straightened" out Heespharm. I would have done the fix myself as well as I hate to ship things back if uneccessary.

lol 2 styles of the vtc5? the authentic and the rewrapped 25r? I believe these are the same ones that illumn said were authentic and then were later found to be rewrapped 25r's

Well if you are going to get burned, rewrapped 25r's are a pretty decent way for it to happen.

I am using them and although the fit is a little tight they seem to last forever.
