Just received my Vapor Flask.
It came in rather bland packaging, but it was well protected so I didn't care too much about that. Thankfully, the DNA chip is completely functional without the screen glitches, but one of the screws securing the top plate is loose...
As a result, the top plate is slightly uneven, with one side securely sealed down and the other side doesn't quite sit flush, just by a hair.
The MicroUSB charging port is HORRID, the port is not secured to the casing, so it wiggles and moves freely. I was worried I would dislodge it when I plugged in the cable to test the charging function. When removing the cable, I prayed I wouldn't rip out the entire port. This isn't a concern for me as I charge my batteries externally, but it's still a major QC concern. The battery slot closest to the firing button is a hair too tight, I have to violently shake the flask while slapping it against my palm to remove the battery, either that or use a tweezer to grab hold of the battery skin and drag it out. The other battery slot is perfect though. The threads are crunchy because the battery slot has no depth, I doubt you could use a button top with this mod.
All in all, it is a beautiful mod in concept and design, but the manufacturer has major quality control issues. Products should not be shipped until thoroughly tested.
I will still be keeping it, because I'm too lazy to go through the refund/exchange process. If the screw isn't stripped I will buy a hex key to screw it down to the top plate. I'll probably lightly lubricate the battery slot (not too much lol, just a rubbing), and I will be careful never to use the mirousb port. If the top plate doesn't screw down, then I'll pursue a refund and try my hand at a Hana mod or a VS rDNA. I'd rate this product a 7.5/10, would've been a 10/10 if it were free of defects, but the tight battery slot is a -2, the ....ty microusb port is a -0.5. If I can't screw the top plate back in, it's a 6/10 and I'm done with this device.
Dual 18650s + DNA chip + unparalleled aesthetic design, but it's an unfinished product in all honesty.
