hyojah,

The "wobbly" USB port is actually by design. It has to do with the "sled" used to mount the USB port. It is made of ABS plastic which I guess has some give to it. I have been reassured by VF themselves that this is completely normal. So it's not like some are wobbly and others are not; they are all like that.....From what I gather, this does not translate into weakness in the way the USB port is mounted....

Sorry to hear about the loose hex screw though....hopefully just socking it down will resolve that issue for ya.....What kind of batteries are you using?
VTC4... I have to either smash the flask repeatedly and violently or drag the battery out with a tweezer lol.
The USB port is not really an issue, I don't charge my batteries via USB anyway, it's wayyyy too slow and I have a nitecore anyway.
The biggest issue is the stuck battery slot, it's just too much of a hassle to go through every single day changing out my battery.

I will probably ask for an exchange or refund, I thought I could deal with it but it's just too much. I will ask my vendor to personally inspect the device for complete functionality before shipping a new device, or I will ask for a refund and get another device I suppose. I'm really disappointed because the VF is so damn beautiful, it's a DNA40 device, and it has dual removable 18650s... a dream if it was manufactured properly.

LOLz!! I knew what you meant, and my fingers are crossed on this one. Hopefully it won't be just a pretty paper weight, I already have plenty of those!
I've had mine a few weeks. No screen issues, my batteries slide in and out easily and haven't had any "learning curve" issues with the ni200 builds. It's beautiful and I love it. Hope you have a nice experience as well!

Yeah I posted a few pages back about the same thing. Preston @ VF can be reached at customerservice@vaporflask.com in the meantime...that's his direct email...... :)

Hopefully VF contacts me back on this email cause I have been trying to reach them from another email the past week and no response from the info@vaporflask.com email. Screen is jarbled and is randomly all pixels.

reading through this thread and the lack of communication from vapinart and from vapor flask has me worried. seems most are without their devices for a long time? I don't have any visual or usb defects but the screen is unreadable at random. battery indicator on same charge sometimes is half full or just full. what kind of time frames can i expect from those who had to get rma?

I get mine back tomorrow... Anybody wanna cast a wager on how it'll function?

Well functioning but with the same physical flaws :p

My money says complete new unit. Heespharm, did you think to write down the magic code/serial number or whatever it is and take pictures of any blemishes? I don't see how they could possibly have enough invested in one to justify repairing it... but what do I know.

AH hehe maybe I needa qualify my statement. I expect you to get a brand new unit, but with the physical "flaws" (as defined by me: goddang ....ty threads, weird button heights etc) :p

ETA: now my greatest interest would be whether you got the latest revision chip. I'm 90% sure no... But who knows? It's about time you broke your bad luck streak

Glad to see I am not the only one to have trouble with ECF's post editor.

Sure would be nice if he gets the latest and greatest version. I know it will be a long time before I ever buy technology this new that is not software upgradable online. It does have a USB port how hard could it be to add a wire or two to the chips software programming port.

I marked the inside of mine... ;-) so we'll see as far as the buttons, I don't care... As long as vtc5 fit in it I'll be happy... I already have micro torx multi bit screwdriver from when I did repairs in my other hobby... So I'm ready... I'm also getting 2 hellfire atties and my Kayfun 4 tomorrow... Merry Xmas everyone...

HAHAHHA that's what I always tell myself. And then something new drops and I go into a feeding frenzy :p

That would be a sweet feature, and certainly one that makes a ton of sense for something like this. But alas, it was not to be :(

A sx350 device maybe? I've been looking at the SXMini

If you use FB you can contact Preston easily in the Vapor Flask Owner's group. He is very prompt in responding there.
