Got myself a flask today! Was about to order it online when I decided to check the store location for the hell of it, with the usual mind set of "no doubt it's 2 million miles away like the rest)...it's in my home town! At first I couldn't get my kayfun in there but a pair of pliars and a lot of twisting later the threading seems to be fine. This thing is gorgeous! I've been on mechanicals for a while (Reo Grande, Stingray, Nemesis, Poldiac, hcigar Hammer) and within a day of having this I think I'm done with mechanicals :p The build quality is amazing, feels great in my hand and so far has given me a much more consistent vape than my last set up.

My only question now is how do I switch to celcius? The website says:

"The next evolution in regulated power delivery the DNA40 now offers the user the ability to set and adjust the temperature limit of the coil, and this latest version has both Celsius and Fahrenheit control capabilities on a single board. "

however the video says there will be 2 versions of the DNA40 (I assume the video is old). Could someone tell me?

If your DNA40 chip is Celsius capable, adjust the temp below 200 degrees and it should automatically switch.

Man, I've had so many problems with my VaporFlask -- I've sent mine back twice already, though exclusively due to DNA 40 board issues. Sure, the customer service has been more than accommodating, but man, I just want to love and own my Flask forever ya know?!? Currently my spring 510 center pin is recessed and stuck in the plastic insulator and won't fire any of my atomizers. Does anyone out there have any experience with this issue and/or know of any ways to fix my 510 connector without having to contact the company again? I'm more than a little disappointed. I understood the whole DNA 40 debacle, but this is an issue completely unrelated to anything but build quality. I guess I'm open to the idea that I should of been more careful with screwing on my toppers, but I think I've been sufficiently gentle. Good thing I have a backup rDNA 40!

Darktime,

With the batteries out can you get to the pin with a small pair of needle nose or tweezers and pull it up carefully? If the works describe what you feel as the pin comes up.

Got my Flask yesterday from VapinArt and it's perfect! Flawless in workmanship and function! It has the new board in it and the screen is straight. I have run my K4 with my standard Kanthal build on it and a Nickel build on my Patriot and both work great!

I used the ProVari mini as a size comparison. It is much smaller that I expected even though I read a lot of people say the same thing. It just seemed so small when I opened the box. Vapes great and the batteries last forever. I've been changing the batteries in my P3 two or three times a day but I vaped this for 24 hours and the indicator was just starting to show a drop and that was with a kanthal build. I only changed them because my new ones came in the mail.:vapor::toast:

Just tried and unfortunately it doesn't offer any access.

You have to pull it up from the top (not through the battery compartment, removing the battery is to prevent a short) use tweezers or thin needle nose pliers. A hooked pick or a bent paper clip will work also. Hook the pin and gently lift it up.

What redddogg said. I didn't mean to imply you push it up thru the battery ports just didn't want you to stick metal in the 510 connector with the batteries in the unit.

The DNA battery meter works in mysterious ways...don't trust it.

My P3 is on a vacation since I got my VF, that thing worked great but like you I had to change the battery like 2-3 times a day. The VF seems to last a few days but like ignotus said, the meter seems to work on a mind of its own lol. I noticed it changes when I got from locked to unlocked, haven't got a low battery message yet though so I just charge it up every 2 days and it has been fine so far.

Take out the four screws... Look for the positive wire... It should be red... Unscrew the copper sleeve it's connected to ... The fat daddy connector is easy to disassemble and reassemble.... Sounds confusing but one you're in there it'll be pretty intuitive

Edit: disassembled one of the three non working flasks I have in my possession to show you

What's with USPS? My fixed flask has now spent eight days travelling around the states from Miami to New York with no sign of being put on a plane to Europe. They are actually managing to make Hungarian Post look like an efficient, well-managed service

If it shows at ISC New York (USPS), that mean it in a process to send abroad. Try use 17track.net instead USPS website to track it, sometimes the tracking will be pick up at your country post office.

It seem to show full battery for about half the charge and then starts dropping. Kind of like the gas gauge in my car. I fill it up and drive 100 miles before the gauge starts dropping then the next 100 takes it down to a quarter of a tank!
The flask is working great though. I have a nickel build on one of my Taifun GTs and its running fine and switch over to a K4 with kanthal with no worries.:toast:

We're all getting a vape in to make sure it works :)

I think it may have something to do with the dual battery setup, that's my guess.

That's funny, the Kayfun 4 is the only mod I have that gives a consistent reading every build with the nickel. I have 2 lemo's and both are all over the place with the readings when I build them with nickel, so they are both my kanthal builds. I just ordered a black ephro Kayfun 4 clone that should be here Tuesday, wondering how its going to work out with nickel compared to the original.
