Vapor Flask

My DNA40 vapor flask seems to have problem to charge battery via USB, I have 2 of them and both have the same problem. The green light indicator won't turn green even after hours of charging. The DNA30 don't have such problem tho. I tried to swap batteries and the problem remain on the DNA40s.
Is it a known problem with the DNA40 flasks?

Have you tried charging it overnight?

It might be worthy to note that the flask uses the standard Evolv usb charging card, which is 0.5A the last I checked. If you're going from something like a 3.5V on both batteries, it'll take a long long time to get it up to fully charged.

Noted... :) ... the last time I charged it for more than 12 hours... still in red light indicator. However the DNA30 flask is fine with the USB charging.

When my Flask first arrived I plugged in just to be sure the USB was connected and functioning. For me, charging two batts by USB seemed a waste of time. So, I have been charging in a charger and swapping the batts, always having several in reserve.

Because you asked I plugged in last night at 1:30 AM. This morning the status light was GREEN.

To be clea,r my batteries were not near drained. And, I think the time to USB charge should only be compared to external charging of two batts simultaneously.

JAZZ,

For what it's worth sometime back there was a thread about this problem. As I remember the person was swearing that the green light would never come on. To the best of my recollection he did something like you and let it charge for 24 hours or so and it finally went green.

I don't know how this problem has cropped up I mean there are a gazillion bat charger chips out there and ever on I have (VF excluded) work fine. By the way I have never use the USB charger port on my VapoFlask. I can through a couple of 18650s in my external charger and from 3.2 ish to full charge id approx. 4 hours. Besides I still have absolutely no faith in the structural integrity of printed support structures. I figured with my luck I would push in a USB connect and snap the plastic frame holding the wobbly USB female port.

Is the term "USB female port" socially expectable. Just ignore me I am still paying the price for pulling a "Tony" stunt and staying up until 2:30 last night playing with e-Juice Stirrer Plates.

Vaporshark ran tests to show off their zip charging. They found it took almost 14 hours to fully charge a depleted Vaporflask. YMMV but until someone puts fast chargng in a dual battery dna40 device, USB may be best for topping off rather than a full charge.

Yes, the pix of deformed and misplaced USB port, here on ECF, kept me from ordering it. So, as I said, it was the first thing I checked.

I had six (6) new VTC 4's sitting idling so the Flask came in handy. You know, like the woman who buys a silk scarf and has to buy a mink coat to 'match'. ;)

Flask love (plus Shark)

Nice! What's the s/n on your HEMO?

just wondering, are there new versions of vapor flasks coming out instead of the squonker? it seems that there are pictures whereby the new VF has a VF logo right above the USB charging port.

The only Flask that I know of with the VF symbol above the USB charging port is the Marsala.

Someone on Facebook just got a silver flask from VapinArt and it had the VF symbol above the usb charging port. I got my Black flask also from VapinArt beginning of March but with no logo.

Hadn't seen any of those yet. Perhaps they are now doing that to the entire line.

Her Marsala battery tubes must be the spec size + tolerance. It takes VTC4, LG HE4, and Samsung 25Rs. My gunmetal must be spec or - tolerance, the Samsungs don't fit.

Yup, I've noticed this too with my Marsala. I believe they've finally opened up the battery holes to accommodate more batteries.
