It's hard not to be "one of those ex-smokers," isn't it? I mean, when I smoked I used to hate it when ex-smokers told me how bad it was for me, and that it stunk and the smell was in my hair and clothes and I swore I would never be like that. But with vaping it's different! It's hard not to get excited about something that not only saves lives but smells good, too! I don't feel at all like I am preaching when I talk to someone who is still smoking about the joys of vaping. It's great that we have this amazing alternative now. :)
I couldn't agree more

That's the path I took, except I started researching on ECF AFTER I ordered a Halo Triton. This is more or less the order I went:

1. blu Plus
2. Halo Triton and Halo G6
3. iStick 50
4. iStick 30
5. eGo One
6. Vaporshark rDNA40
7. SX Mini M Class
8. IPV 2 Mini
9. IPV 4
10. MPV 3 Pro
11. Aspire CF Subohm
12. evic VT
13. Subox Mini
14. Snow Wolf 200
15. Innokin Disrupter
16. Sigelei 75 TC
17. Sigelei 150 TC
18. Vaporshark DNA200
19. Smok XCube II
20. Tugboat DNA200
21. Cloupor Mini+
22. evic VTC Mini

Most of those on the list have been PIF'ed on to other people. I have a serious G.A.S. problem.
#Vaping changed my life#
That's quite a list of mods. I have six of those. I've never been one to get something and then immediately want something bigger, better or just different. Pretty much, I like to wear something out and THEN go get a new one. But not with vaping stuff. It really does become an obsession of sorts. No matter what I get, I'm always looking at something else I'd like to have. And when/if I get that there's instantly the next thing I have my eye on. I don't know... something about these things make you want to collect them.

Also, mail. Throughout my life I've gotten mail and looked forward to receiving things I've ordered but never so much as I have with vape mail. What's up with that? I've ordered stuff online for years and just kinda waited til it got here and was glad and all. But, vape mail... a completely different thing. Never have I looked forward to mail so much as when I have vape stuff coming in.

When I was a regular smoker, smoking a pack a day, I would get the jitters and become irritable if I went without a cigarette for more than a couple of hours (although it wasn't so bad that I would wake up in the middle of the night for a smoke, or would go nuts on an airplane flight). Now that I've been vaping and haven't had a cigarette in over 10-1/2 months, I can easily go half a day or longer without vaping if I'm busy doing other stuff and I won't go through all that nasty withdrawal symptoms.

Hi Vapen_moma! Welcome to the most amazing group of people on the planet. Don't worry about the hashtags. They are not necessary for your post to count, only that your post talks about your vaping story. :)

You should order more from China.....that will train you to be patient. Joking aside....since I started vaping and placed my first online order, I don't think more than two weeks have passed where I did not get vape mail. The most vape mail I've gotten in one day was 4 packages.

Yessiree... I just experienced my first over a month long wait for mail from China! God help me when I'm able to order what I really want to have whenever I want it. The only thing that's kept me in check now is my empty wallet. That might be a good thing too. I could wake up one day a few years from now, look around and ask "What in the heck was I thinking?" lol One thing I haven't gotten yet is a simple, sturdy mech mod to stash away for the Vapocalypse. (funny how we refer to that in a Book of Revelations kind of way) If I had a gallon of nic, a couple of good mechs and numerous rda I'd be all set.

I love this community! The fact that my vaping journey brought me here is something I still marvel at. I am so grateful I found my way here, and I sure am glad you did, too!

I am so sorry about your aunt. That's rough. I am glad you are able to come here and share, though. So many others have been exactly where you are right now and are willing to offer support. :)

My vaping story: I just bought a bigger purse last weekend and I made sure it was mod, friendly! I pack around between 3 and 5 mods whenever I leave the house, even for a short trip to the store, and some of them are not ones I want to leave in the car. Is it normal to buy a purse that will handle my mod addiction???

(This was a post I wrote for my blog a while back)

Side Effects of Vaping

Almost daily there is another “study” showing the harmful effects of vaping. Most of these use bad/no science or they twist the headlines, knowing most people will never read the study.

They do have one thing right, there are side effects from vaping.

Yes, I said it, there are side effects from vaping, but they are not harmful. That is unless you count being able to taste or smell as harmfull. Okay, I will grant you, being able to smell again might at times seem harmful.

One such side effect is instead of drinking maybe a glass of water a week, I now drink about 2 liters of water a day. This is due to vaping making my mouth feel dry. The water replaced a 2 liter a day soda habit.

I also can breath again, no longer tied to asthma inhalers and nebulizers to get me through the day. This aids me in then being able to do more. It also saves me trips to the doctors.

No more morning cough! I use to dread waking, knowing the second I moved an inch the coughing would start. My chest would hurt from trying to cough up what was left of my lungs every morning.

These types of side effects tho are not the only ones I have personally experienced.

Because of vaping I have had to learn things like battery safety. This doesn’t just apply to e-cigs and mods either, it applies to all hand-held electronics.

Ohm’s Law, this is a biggie. It helps in my rebuilding and goes hand in hand with battery safety. You would think having replaced all the wiring on a 79 Ford T-bird or running the wiring in my room, I would have already known Ohm’s Law, but I didn’t.

I have learned more about science and research than I ever did in school. Reading the before mentioned studies has taught me tons about how things work or more often or not shows me why they don’t work.

To go with the research and learning how to read the studies, is learning how to tell good science from trash science. It is my hope I see more good science coming soon.

Mixing juices and understanding how things work I have also learned a bit of chemistry. If only my high school teachers would have taught it in a manner that interested me.

A big side effect for me has been that I now actually care about politics. I also advocate and try to educate. Sharing what I have learned with others.

I have experienced many great side effects from vaping, as have just about every vaper I have spoken with. So, yes I am glad there are side effects from vaping.

# Vaping Changed My Life#

I smoked 2-3 PAD for ~38 years. My Mom died of cancer and I took over the care of my Dad who had end-stage COPD, and I still smoked. I had a heart attack and still smoked. My best friend wanted to try vaping, and I bought my first setup to support her, but I had every intention of only vaping around her and smoke when I wasn't. I loved smoking, and had no real intention of quitting, despite witnessing what my folks went through and my own health issues. I accidentally never had another cig again! I immediately loved vaping! I loved that I could get different flavors and customize my vape depending on my mood, time of day or even season!

I can walk up stairs now without getting winded, my house, car and clothes don't stink anymore. Four friends, two co-workers and two family members have quit analogs by vaping after seeing my success. I found this forum and continue to learn from a really good group of people. I don't cough anymore, I haven't gotten an upper respiratory or sinus infection since I quit cigs. I feel so much better in every way. Oh! And I lost 38 pounds without even trying.....don't know how THAT happened o_O!! Who knew cigs were fattening, LOL!

Yeah, I can honestly say vaping changed my life, and in my opinion, prolonged it!

Lmaooooo.... I bought a new tiny purse to hold 3 pens with extra tanks just for my trip to Cali last spring. It had to have the cross body strap, and be small enough not to weigh me down because we walked everywhere.
