#vaping Stories# I have to roll the window down, just because I tend to blow clouds. I have seriously been looked at by cops because it looks like I have Cheech and Chong'd the jeep. Every time I get out of my Jeep to walk to the office a cloud follows me. Sort of like Eeyore from Winnie the pooh.Or roll the window down in my truck on the way to work![]()
#My vaping Stories# #Vaping changed your life#
The last thing my mother ever said to me was: "Take care of your brothers and sister." Then, she kissed me on my cheek and whispered, "Please, guard your health". With that, she got on a plane to England and I never saw her again.
A little back story...
When my mother was 46 years old she went to a doctor for something simple. While there they found her iron extremely low and further testing resulted in a diagnoses of lung cancer. We got a phone call from the doctor and he told us that we better all get together, my mother only had six months to live. Prior to that she seemed as healthy as any of us teenagers and twenty-somethings. It came out of the blue. The reason she had left for England that day was to get healthcare for her cancer. She had no insurance here and, as a citizen of England, she remained eligible for healthcare there. She never lived for that 6 months, she died two months later while still in England.
See, the stress and guilt I had over smoking is because when my mother told me "guard your health" she was really telling me to stop smoking. She knew how hard it was though and didn't want to lay the burden of "those" final words on me. I knew it though. And that his how vaping changed my life. Finally, I'm relieved of the stress and guilt of not honoring my mother's last request of me and I'm determined to get my brother and sister to start vaping too.

It's funny because he knows the 3-drawer side table in the living room is filled with the things I use regularly, so he was caught off guard. Not only that, but when we first got together we both worked at a shipyard building luxury yachts and when we bought our house I quit that job shortly thereafter and he apparently figured I did not need all of my tools so he sold and gave away most of mine! I guess he figured I was just replacing them (I threw a huge fit when I found out he got rid of my power tools!!!) but I got him good with the vape tomb.#vaping story#
But they are tools. Tools of your trade, not his! They are tools to the adventure that is vaping. I know. Getting into DIY and I now need a bigger tool box. I have a small one, but I think that will be my steep box now. I do not know what to do with all the flavors now. Waiting to see the VG container I am getting to actually determine the size of the tool box needed. I do know exactly what you mean.
A Christmas mod! How great is that?? We can even match for holidays. So much fun.#My Vaping Stories#
I'm a matcher too...I have one set up that is red white and blue--I just vary the shades with all the tanks I haveChristmas is coming, so I'll be digging out the green tank to go with the red mod soon

#My Vaping Stories#
Once, I was at the school to pick up my neighbor's children. While sitting in the car waiting for the bell to ring I was vaping away. I noticed that a guy came out of the door in the front of the school and was walking across the parking lot. In a bit I realized he was walking right for my car. (and this was no small parking lot that I was parked nearly in the back of) When he got to my car he looked at me and said "Ma'am, you can't smoke on school grounds" I was shocked that he came all the way out of the school and across the parking lot to tell me that. I held up my Istick and told him I wasn't smoking, I was vaping. He was thoroughly confused for an uncomfortable amount of time then just said "ok" and walked off! First and only time I'd ever been confronted vaping. I don't think he'd ever heard of vaping before that. Who knows... maybe he researched it and started vaping himself.
Edit: Welcome to ECF @teemae ! So glad you found us.
That's awesome, Kodak! This purse has 3 internal pockets and 2 zippered outside pockets that will hold my mods in the upright position (why yes I did test that out in the store!!) which is what sold me on this particular one. It took me an hour or more to find the right one and I had actually broken a sweat in the process but I was a gal on a vape-friendly purse mission!!#My Vaping Stories#
Completely normal--Here's my story on that: I carry 2 mods/tanks and 3 of the stick batteries/lil tanks anywhere I go. I had a small purse at the time that I started vaping...upgraded to a purse that had a pocket outside so I could have my main mod at hand all the time. 4 months ago, the daughter and I were at the mall in JC Penny's and I saw this little multipac backpack. My first thought was "that front pocket would hold ALL of my mods I carry--and I could put 2 more on the side pockets!" No consideration was given to the other junk I carry in my purse lol. I shelled out $30 for it...and then when I got home I realized it had 2 internal pockets that are the perfect size for 30 ml bottles
I also modified it a bit to make sure my little stick batteries wouldn't fall over by getting some of the travel toothbrush holders from walmart and taping the 3 bottom pieces together. Slid it down in that pocket, put my lil stick batteries/tanks in and away I go! 2 mods fit in beside it, and I have 2 more on the outside pockets.
#My Vaping Stories# I crack mine a tiny bit, but I don't have to have it wide open anymore. I'm a flavor chaser, not a cloud chaser (although that's starting to change a bit as I get more into the sub ohm lol)
Thank youThat is a powerful story. Thank you for sharing.
#Vaping Story#
I have had similar incidents. I have been confronted at dog parks. A lady said you cannot smoke near the dogs. I said okay and kept vaping. She came back to me and said, "SIR, YOU CANNOT BY ANY MEANS SMOKE HERE!!!" Amazingly, I looked at her calmly and said, "okay." She went away. I then continued to vape. Then her husband came over and said, "For gods sake would you quit smoking." I said, "I did that is why I am vaping." He looked at me and tilted his head just like a dog would. I asked him, "Do you see a cigarette in my hand?" He replied, "No." I replied, "Then please go and pick up the crap that your dog left behind in the park. THAT is completely disgusting and rude for other owners to have step in if not picked up. It is also on that sign when you walk in. " Needless to say I won and they left. I like the calmness that came over me when they try to stop me. Like someone else says on here, "Vape em' if you got em!!!"

I'm not sure how I missed that post, Marina, but I just read it and it truly is a beautiful, sad, haunting story. What a wonderful way to honor your mother.Thank you![]()
