Hows the finish on the housing on the rdna 40? Like my 6 week old rdna 30? [emoji1]

I haven't held a rdna30 so I don't know about the finish. From your pic it look smooth and shiny like my small vs dna30. The finish on the 40 has a rubberized feel to it. My dna30 was part of the initial preorders when they first came out. My finish has lasted, it does have a couple of small chips from being dropped on pavement several times.

Can you call before you leave, tell them you have a two-hour trip to get there, and can they hold one for you for just two hours? I think most places would likely do that in the name of good customer service.

They had it held for me, they got 18 of friday and had 3 left after the one I got, its great so far.

Surprised not many people have come here to rave about their rdna40. I love that little sucker ever since I got it. With the skin on, I don't have to worry about being rough with it, and it's just sucha great size. Between my Reos and my rDNA, my flask has seen at most 30mins of vape time.

Also have not swapped the batteries out since I got it. Wub. Happy camper here.

Too busy vaping on mine to rave about them!
I keep a VSDNA30 With a tobh in my shirt pocket at work all day(can't be seen :) ) and the rdna40s in my pouch.... love these guys. I haven't had to change the wick in my erlkonigin in a week so far. For me with organic cotton that's uN heard of. I take the Sharkskin off at night when I get home just to make sure no liquid leaked and got between it and mod. But, that added protection during the day is just a great idea. I can't wait for the smaller lipo version to come out. I saved a space just for it.

Were you on that VS store's waiting list? They called me today too, I was on their list, hopefully they still have it tomorrow when I head down there because its 1.5 hours from me.

Sorry, I missed this post somehow.

I called them on the 23rd of last month and they started the list with me so I was first. They said they ordered on the 2nd or when it was first available depending on who you talked to. They were all very nice but after I heard people getting theirs in hand within a week of ordering, I called them again and they didn't know when they were getting them so I canceled my reservation and ordered online on the 18th. I got the tracking # on the morning of the 21st and that's when the shop called me. My order is scheduled to be delivered on the 25th.

I'm a little over an hour away from them. They're good people and I'm sure they'd put one aside. For the month I was waiting with them, I've had really good interactions with them. If I do decide to get a DNA 30, I'll definitely take the trip down and buy from them.

I'm very happy with it so far!
I'll feel better in a few months, when I won't have to keep looking at the screen for the "glitch".
My better half says it had better last...Geez, this is my first and only mod. (I will need backups)
Told her it was only $50:thumb:

I need some help with a decision... As some of you know, I burned up my rdna30 by idiotically inserting the battery the wrong way. So that shell of a '30 is just sitting on my desk.

Going to be doing some sailing lessons fairly regularly in the coming months to get captain certification. I'm thinking of what my 'boat mod' is going to be. will probably be running a nautilus mini as a topper.

    Choices:
eleaf istick @ $40 Pros: inexpensive to replace if damaged or goes swimming, small/lightweight form factor. Cons: not a dna device, could be on the flimsy side.

Repair the rDNA30 @ $80 Pros: it's a DNA device, good for a back up when not on the boat, more rugged than the istick. Cons: More expensive to replace, no guarantee I won't reverse the battery again (because of the idiot brain in my head)

Upgrade the rDNA30 to the '40 @ $90 same pros and cons as the repair except +$10 and it's now a '40 with no wireless charging.

If you're on a boat you need a good mechanical like a REO.

Been chain vaping my VS rDNA 40 all day everyday for a couple of weeks, its preformed perfectly.
From 1.8 ohm EVODs to Russians with 0.15 Ni coils, never misses a beat. Accidentally put a 3 ohm evod (from my attempts to make an iStick work) on it and it fires, specs say 2 ohm max for Kanthal. I love the preheat and temperature protection.

Fit and finish are excellent, best in hand feel of any device I`ve had in hand. Very low hand fatigue even though I`m going through a charge a day.
Buttons are excellent and placement is about perfect.

I`m totally satisfied with it and will be getting another. The DNA 25 would be fine but I don`t know if I will be able to wait for it.

I was in on the pre-order so I got mine when they were first avail and have been loving it ever since. I've only used the KFL to build ni200 coils and it works perfectly. I have a new TOBH and want to try dual ni200 but haven't figured out how to build the coils yet. Someone on this thread or the "official" thread showed a dual TOBH but I can't find the post anymore. Some dummy didn't bookmark it!!!!

I like the VS40 so much I bought the VSdna and I love that little guy. Just put a Nautilus mini on it and it's the perfect "errand runner"!!

I have a crapload of mods but I will say I'm a VaporShark fan for sure!

Looks like my rDNA 40 is on the move. It showed up at my local PO hub this afternoon so I should get it tomorrow or Tues. I ordered some 28g Ni200 (already have 30g) and that was supposed to be delivered Friday but it's in limbo .

Congrats!!! I hope you get a fine working piece. My rDNA has become my fav mod (tied with my Reos) and im a huge VS convert.

    Thanks!

I just built one of my KF's with Ni200. 30g twisted and spaced coils on 2.78mm drill bit with 9 wraps @ 0.15Ω. Hope it works

Hope you get a fully functional unit, mine failed about 2 hours in. Emailed VS Saturday morning, we'll see what tomorrow brings!!

I'm fully expecting to have to return it to be repaired or replaced. If it doesn't, I'll be happy :D.

You were right, I might get it on Monday which never happens with USPS for me.
