Actually no.....the flavor isn't off at all. Grin. I value flavor over anything else, so I wouldn't sacrifice that just to make the 100ml mark :p

100+ mls is pretty awesome, especially for a custard-y, vanilla-y e-juice. So are you going to change it out now, or keep going with that same wick?

I've just found that since I started building with my first Kayfun this has always been the case for me. I wasn't trying to imply you were just trying to go for gold with that achievement, I was more just curious if you noticed the taste change. Like I said before, I notice it after one tank so I just rebuild. Obviously it doesn't bother you or you don't notice it, or it really is staying the same flavor. I envy that. I wish I could make a build last a couple weeks and run multiple tanks on the same wick and coil, I just can't do it. It is what it is.

You have no idea how hard it is for me to resist taking my atties and just rebuilding them even if they're working sweet. JeremyR from the rayon thread has been bugging me to let it run as long as possible but I always end up giving in to my urges. But HMM. Rayon is wonderful when wicked right.

Thanks a ton for going to all this work, but could you clarify something for me -- are you saying there is newer, more up-to-date information in the video now than when it was first released? Is there anything new to be learned by watching it all over again?

Thanks so much for chasing down that segment of the Vapour Trails/Haze Hour's Dec. 4 interview with Evolv's Brandon. I went through the video again and updated times for the highlights. This interview has the most recent DNA 40 information from Evolv.
0:36:37 - technical issues with broadcast & commercial
0:40:14 - back after tech issues & commercial
0:41:12 - temperature range of board
0:41:58 - superheated vapor between coil and juice
0:48:18 - Kanger & Nautilus heads
0:51:18 - next Evolv technology starts testing in January
0:53:33 - not switching into regular (Kanthal) mode
0:54:50 - spaced rather than contact coils recommended
0:55:50 - only prompts for new coil if the board doesn't know
0:56:20 - refinement mode
0:57:46 - post hole connectors cause problems
1:04:12 - larger, detachable screen will be offered
1:05:19 - production started last week of boards with celsius option

I think it was just edited to shorten the video. Same content but now at different timing marks.

a post that was passed along to me. IDK, anyone else heard this?

Just got some terrible news.. My girlfriend (who purchased a Vaporshark rDNA40 for me for Christmas) just received a call from Vaporshark saying they are suspending production and shipping of the rDNA for 30 days. Because they are so glitchy. I'm so bummed... Myself and my girlfriend can't afford any other DNA mods as they are 250+ dollars and I'm honestly now completely turned off from the rDNA. Like why would I want to support a company that releases a product with so many issues they have to stop production? Isn't that what beta testing is for. Any other suggestion for a DNA mod on a budget would be much appreciated as I said ok pretty discouraged at this point

I would rather shipments be suspended than receive a faulty unit. Don't know if it's true or not, but if it is true then I would have to think long and hard about ordering any DNA 40 right now since it's the chip that would be faulty and not the rDNA.

Which is exactly why Vapor Shark shouldn't of had a cyber Monday sale on the rdna.:)

The only other mod that comes close in price is the Protovapor XPV ($210) and they have a 5-9 business day delay. I have no interest in dual batteries so the VaporFlask was out for me (the $300 price tag didn't help) and Hana's box of glue didn't inspire much confidence. I think these are the 4 major players in the DNA 40 space. Yeah, it sucks having delays and issues but it happens with almost all new products.

What most people seem to forget is that all these companies are fairly small yet everyone expects service to be on par with Nordstroms. I'm not going to make excuses for any of them but have a little bit of patience and understanding. Coming here ranting like a spoiled brat doesn't solve anything. If you really feel that strongly about it, vote with your money and don't support them.

I ordered the rDNA 40 + an Atlantis tank on Cyber Monday, and while I don't like to wait, I'm fine with it if it means getting a Unit that performs and does not have to be returned, etc... Plus, if you ordered on Cyber Monday, you knew there was a 15 Business Day wait for it to be shipped, which puts the shipping date right around December 22nd or 23rd.

But I think VaporShark's main problem is communication, I think all of us who ordered would like a straight answer from the horse's mouth, so to speak. It seems no one really knows what the &($&$ is going on. What we got here is a failure to communicate...

here is copy-paste email my friend received from vaporshark, maybe it will alleviate some of our pain.

"We would like to apologize for the delay you are experiencing in our order processing and shipping time. We understand you may have placed your order with the hopes of getting your order before the Holiday Season and want to be transparent about what has held us back from our usual speed of service.

As you may know, a small percentage of the Evolv boards that drive our device have had a quality control issue in regards to the screen readout becoming grainy or scrambled. While this issue has been addressed and resolved with Evolv, we are having our Quality Control Team hand-check each device prior to sending it out to you in efforts to thwart any shipment that may have had a faulty board. Due to this unforeseen process, our usual speed of fulfillment and delivery has been compromised and we are doing everything in our power to get as many devices out as quickly as possible. Despite us being able to quality check and ship over 300 rDNA 40's per day, we are aware that we will not be able to meet our stated 15 business day processing period.

We really appreciate your business and while we would love nothing more than to get these devices in your hands today, we want to assure ourselves that the product we are sending you is free of any screen readout defect and fully meeting our quality expectations.

In light of this, we understand that you may not want to wait longer than the initially expected time frame and would instead prefer a full refund. If this is the case, please let us know and we will gladly issue you one (typical refund turnaround time is 3-5 days). However, if you do decide to wait you can hold your position in line for the rDNA 40 and be assured that you or your loved ones will receive one of the market's best devices and that it has been quality tested and approved!

Regardless of your decision, we appreciate your business and from the bottom of our hearts apologize for this unforeseen inconvenience. More over, we appreciate your patience!"

Me thinks this batch of rDNA's will have the old (not latest) boards in them.

What is the difference between the two versions? Is I just the ability to have F/C temp display? If it works and doesn't glitch, I'll take the first run board!! I have 1 that I had to return and received the new one last week but ordered another on cyber Monday sale so I'm good with the wait.

Thats not not to say I don't feel for those that have been waiting for even before the sale.

Since we didn't actually hear from VS about what they were actually encountering until now, we can only guess that the new banner on the VS site now stating a 30 processing time, there was a wave of unhappy buyers that cancelled their orders! Kind of a day late and a dollar short type of thing. Bottom line is they probably should have been a little more forthcoming and transparent about how things were being handled!

I'm usually not one to chime in about people complaining too much but I'll just say this.

Order one, wait patiently for it to come in, vape the hell out of it. It is worth it. The device is stellar. The percentage of faulty chips is low. Mine is fine and it's not a new revision.

Now I'm done.

I'm impatient, but I get it, especially with a new product. No biggie, I'll wait for it. Can't have a flawless transaction everywhere, your occasionally gonna run into a glitch, this just happens to be one. It'll be worth the wait, I'm sure of it. Besides I have plenty of devices to keep me busy in the meantime.

Please use promo code xxxxxxxxxxx upon your next order to receive your complimentary bottle of Vapor Shark e-liquid."

Hey folks, just want to chime in and throw down my two cents.

My biggest gripe isn't the wait, I understand that these orders take time to fill, and these are very well made devices and are clearly worth the wait. My issue with this is the fact that I sent them my hard earned cash with the expectation of having the unit shipped within the promised 15 business day time frame, and that these unforeseen delays with the bad boards from Evolv are not actually unforeseen at all. The bad chips have been a known issue for a while.

I feel like the responsible practice would have been to simply list the item as out of stock until production caught up. I think we have all experienced wanting the next new shiny, only to find it out of stock on through all of our favorite vendors. This just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth for future dealings with this company. It feels too much like a cash grab with little or no regard for the actual end user experience from shopping cart to vape mail. It feels like they were afraid if they were listed as "out of stock," they would have lost sales due to people who would have spent money on their product instead buying the Vapor Flask or the Hana, which still have a few available for purchase last I checked.

Bottom line, I feel stuck. I really wanted the VS rDNA 40. But I also really do not want to reward this company with my money for what I feel like is bad behavior. It will take four or five days to process a refund back to me, which pretty much means the money will not get back to me in time to get another dna 40 product shipped to me before Christmas.
