For those of you that have had issues with you rDNA 40, don't hesitate contacting VS directly through their support. Mine worked fine for the first couple days, from then on, had problems with an internal short. I contacted their customer support, and after discussing the issue briefly, they decided it was not an issue I could resolve myself and got my information to email me a return shipping label. I would also like to note that they paid for 1-day shipping, and I'm assuming when they return it, they will do the same. I would have liked to ship it out today, but thanks to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the post offices are closed up. I will get it out tomorrow and keep you guys updated on the process. I have heard some people angry with the customer support with VS, and I have yet to come across any problems. Just thought it was worth noting!

well first off, under vaporsharks terms and conditions page. They say that all sales are final. Meaning that they do not give refunds. I dont know anyone else's experience but in the chance that mine is faulty, which seems extremely probable. I do not want to put myself in that position having to wait 2 months for a product and have it get here for me to find out its faulty with no way for me to exchange or refund.

Buying from a reputable reseller if something were to go wrong I know for a fact I can exchange hassle free and/or return for at least 30 days.

The 120 day warranty should still be honored regardless if I purchase direct through vaporshark or a different retailer. Their website says no such thing that would make me believe that they would force me to purchase direct through them for the 4 month warranty. I could be wrong however, so if anyone could enlighten me that would be stellar.

I had a bad unit on the first run, emailed them with the issues the device presented. They got back to me the next day, emailed me an RMA, I printed it up, sent it back and within a week, had it back and working like a champ.

Liked it so much, got a second one on the cyber Monday sale.

I get it that it sucks to be out a device if it doesn't function correctly and you have to return it but even with all the issues with the chip and the huge delay in getting the cyber Monday orders out, they were in a bind and that might have cost them some valuable business. I'm a patient guy, I know everything in life is not always going to go 100% my way each and every day.

That being said, in the dealings I've had with VS, they have been stellar in handling my orders and I expect them to continue that with my future dealings with them.

I hope you get one and I hope it works flawlessly for you because it really is a nice unit!!

I ended up purchasing one from a retailer that has the updated batch in stock. Paid 20$ more, but having it in 3 days vs 2 months I think the price was justified.

One thing that is bother me is why is it so hard to find a black sharkskin for the rdna40? Are they extinct or something? Does anyone know if someone has it in stock? I ended up getting a red one for now....i hope it doesnt look stupid.

I was curious about the zip charging so today I did a test at work. Hooked my mod up to a bench top power supply. Full speed charging is 1.87A at 5V.

They claim is backwards compatible with smaller chargers. So I took a 5V 500mA USB charger and hooked it up. It draws 500mA, but the 5V supply drops to 4V due to the load. Still get red light on the vapor shark showing that it's charging. The battery was only at 3.5 when I started the test so even a 4V input should be enough to charge it. As the current requirement drops when battery gets fuller, and actuall draw drops below 500ma, it should return to its normal 5V output.

I'm monitoring it right now and will post results for those interested or curious. For fun I've attached a pic of the guts of new one with all the updates.

rDNA-40 with a Joyetech Delta II - with both air and eliquid control. Vapes just fine. I have the eliquid at about 1/3 opening and the air controller down to a pin hole :) I mouth vape (then inhale with two draws) vs. lung vape. Although I have a Vaporskinz (carbon fiber), I like the shark skin feel so well, I've kept that on.

Hiya, can I jump in here with my recent VS customer service experience?
I ordered wrong stuff, they let me send it back for full credit.
Today an email from them popped up confirming receipt and credit.

Next the phone rings and Philipe is telling me the same thing.
I thank him profusely and am still confused and perplexed.

Who does this?
