Damn, now I have to put the gray one I got on and see how it works for me. Before I order a blue one.
Just never put the skin on since I like the look of the gunmetal Well finally got my black sharkskin yesterday after they sent me that pink one. Oh, and they threw in a free extra skin for the troubles so I opted for a grey one.
Surprisingly with USPS and VS, from Florida to Cali, only takes about 2 days.
Just waiting now for a word back on my chipping "firing button" but I'm guessing they will be off the weekend through Mon for the holidays.

Yay! Glad to hear the sharkskins worked out for you. Haven't heard about any other chipping buttons. They will probably want to replace the button.
Can you post a picture with the skin off and it next to somethig black?
In your pictures, yours looks much closer to black than to my gunmetal one. I'm wondering if you camera just made it look dark, they actually sent you a black one, or they've changed the gunmetal color for the second batch.
It's darker than I expected, but it isn't black.
I don't want to take off the skin and mess with the wireless card. So.. here's a quick pic with a piece of black fabric against it. I think I ordered mine on the 14th.

It's too dark in my house to take good pictures tonight. I'll try to post something color accurate in sunlight tomorrow. These are just phone pics.
I don't doubt you at all however that does look like black the gunmetal VS that I've seen in gun metal almost look like a light grey.
It's what I would call a dark gray. Considerably darker than a gunmetal V3. Although I think they now have a dark gunmetal V3
