That's how mine started, yea pulling the battery fixes it for a time. Have you tried running it up to 40W and hitting the fire button a couple times ( you don't have to vape it ) to see if it glitches again?
just tried it at 40 watts and, it's fine.... I prey I don't have to return this thing!!!! I absolutely love the little bugger :) and don't want to be without it for a month+ ;)

To me, it shouldn't be problematic ever. It should work 100%, 100% of the time! If it glitches once, and you know everything is correct on your build, that's once too many!!

Lol that. I trawl several forums, and I keep seeing folks who report having ONE glitch and just hope it'll never happen again. That makes no sense.

The moment you have ONE glitch, take advantage of the RMA and send it in.

Does your 1000 dollar laptop or 500 dollar phone work 100% of the time??? Or has it crashed even once??

No offense but I don't get where people get these high expectations... Remember it's a 60 dollar chip I think it delivers 60 dollars worth of performance ... The rest of the perceived cost is the makers markup minus cost..

my rdna40 screen went blank. well, half of it did. you couldn't see the wattage only the battery, ohms and voltage. I pulled the batt and that fixed it. it's only happened the one time... weird!

That is how my rDNA30 started going bad. Finally worked its way across the whole screen. Started doing it on about the second day I had it. I sent it back to vaporshark and the board was replaced.

Anyone know how long the rma process takes? I emailed vapor shark yesterday morning and still haven't received a reply.

My rDNA30 screen went bad starting about the second day I had it. I contacted vaporshark and they emailed a shipping tag. I sent it out on a Monday and I received it back the following Monday. They replaced the dna30 board. all has been well since.

Its not a high expectation to have of a device. Ive used a vsdna30 since the release and i use that as a baseline for performance and expectation of my other VS products. The poor little mod has been beaten and abused, it shows its battle scars proudly and the only problem its had is the battery had to be replaced. Believe it or not, its held up better than any of my other mods.
If it were me, and i had a screen wobble i would definitely call and have it replaced. Especially since vaporshark is being so cool about it.

Very true... Vaporshark is being really cool about anything... The only trick I've seen dealing with them is to call not email them... I've only received top notch service from!

I've returned both phones and laptops when they have malfunctioned. When it's happening thru no fault of my own, it gets returned, that's just common sense!

But after crashing once? That would be a bit premature... I get it man, send it back if it's defective ... But I just think the 100% function 100% of the time is a bit too much to ask for anything that's 60 dollars retail... Probably 20-30 dollars cost

Turnaround is usually a week from what most here have experienced. Might be a bit longer now due to the holidays but still should be less than a month.

Yeah, once you have a glitch, you have a bad board. It will happen again. Eventually.

Bad analogy. It has nothing to do with cost. A laptop has an OS that is modified by the user (installing apps, changing settings, etc) and is usually the cause for a crash, not the hardware, and can usually be updated and/or fixed by the user. If it is the hardware, you rma it and get it replaced. The Evolv chip is a closed system. If it crashes, you rma it.

I totally understand what you are saying, high expectations, yes, I have them. Maybe I'm taking advantage of the situation, but I think the problems that have arisin with the boards in these mods, make them unusable in certain situations. Why should I have to remove the battery every time I have a glitch? Especially if it happens frequently and without warning.

Yup I would too and have 5 times now... if it was a pattern but not if its an isolated incident... Or happens maybe once every couple weeks... The only things I would expect to work 100% of the time is if my life dependent on it... Like car brakes

The issues with the DNA40 board will eventually get ironed out. It's just a waiting game

Its not taking advantage per se. I realize it's a Hassel. But the way its been handled by evolv, hana, and vaporshark makes me respect them and continually buy from them. Ive had nightmare customer service for a mfg defect with one of the the "best" companies in the industry and refuse to buy anything else from them again. So seeing the honorable thing done by another company is just refreshing.
By evolvs own admission the issue is from faulty manufacturing, this tells me if the issue happens once its going to happen again. Honesty in business and handling it with class is quite refreshing. That alone earns major points with me and quite frankly a customer for good.. at this point its just a matter of waitimg for the defective boards to work out of circulation as the problem has been resolved its just a logistical issue at this point. Politically
its a 4 month warranty, ill probably get another mod monday and if the "born on date" is during the bad runs see if i got lucky again if not see about sending it to evolv to swap out.
Either way its still a smokin deal with the discount

That's more along the lines as to the point I'm trying g to make. Having known the issues that were out there with the device and having the ability to put it thru its paces to find out IF I had a problem board, I didn't see any reason not to send it back for a replacement. Pretty sure we are on the same page.

From what I've read, you as well as others have returned faulty devices. I'm sure you will test the new ones for faults and return them if needed.

Bottom line is, my VS was bad, and I returned it for a new unit. They were very cool about it and I value that kind of CS! I will continue to purchase from VS knowing they have my best interest at hand!!
