Too late!!

I already ordered the Origen. :)

Well now you gotta buy a Magma to compare!

The Origen is tiny and sexy. It`s very quiet, tastey and won`t scare tourists.
My next build I will try dual coil kanthal for grins.

I hope there will be some flavor drippers atomized for single Ni coils coming, perhaps they already exit but I have not found them.
I welcome suggestions.

Its not taking advantage per se. I realize it's a Hassel. But the way its been handled by evolv, hana, and vaporshark makes me respect them and continually buy from them. Ive had nightmare customer service for a mfg defect with one of the the "best" companies in the industry and refuse to buy anything else from them again. So seeing the honorable thing done by another company is just refreshing.
By evolvs own admission the issue is from faulty manufacturing, this tells me if the issue happens once its going to happen again. Honesty in business and handling it with class is quite refreshing. That alone earns major points with me and quite frankly a customer for good.. at this point its just a matter of waitimg for the defective boards to work out of circulation as the problem has been resolved its just a logistical issue at this point. Politically
its a 4 month warranty, ill probably get another mod monday and if the "born on date" is during the bad runs see if i got lucky again if not see about sending it to evolv to swap out.
Either way its still a smokin deal with the discount

I really wanted a genuine Evolv device after watching the interviews of the Evolv guys. They didn't put up some marketing guys in front of us but the CEO and engineers. It looked like they really wanted to do the right thing for vapers and not just throw watts at us (which I think is unsafe and reckless). Reading about how they're handling the issues is what made me a loyal customer, both Evolv and VS.

Stuff happens and all manufacturers can make mistakes. It's how they're handled that makes a company and the people behind them great or crappy. People that are angry with getting a bad product will always look for something to be mad at and there's no pleasing them.

Roger that! You can tell a lot about a company by how they handle screw ups. Mechanical parts will always have a failure. Hoe you handle failure shows your true colors. The thing though that made me originally want a vaporshark was seeing the first evolved video biased did. The CEO from evolv, a cat that could have used any custom mod was vaping on a vaporshark. Then for the unveiling he was using the same thing. If evolv believes in the product enough to be seen with it on video rather than something else it's good enough for me.

That is how my rDNA30 started going bad. Finally worked its way across the whole screen. Started doing it on about the second day I had it. I sent it back to vaporshark and the board was replaced.

if its does anything it shouldn't one more time i'll rma it :( the price you pay sometimes for being an early adopter I guess...

But after crashing once? That would be a bit premature... I get it man, send it back if it's defective ... But I just think the 100% function 100% of the time is a bit too much to ask for anything that's 60 dollars retail... Probably 20-30 dollars cost

I think this comes down to one's particular definition of "defective." In this particular case, because the screen glitch is a known problem, and because if it shows up on your board you know you've got that known problem, and from past experience by others it appears there's a high though admittedly not definitive likelihood of that known problem recurring, and of getting worse, than I believe it is valid to view that single glitch as proof the board is defective. I would want to exchange it while I still could. At least that's my take on it.

If I purchase something, knowing what it's suppose to do and not do and find that something doesn't meet those specs set forth by the manufacturer, it's probably going to get returned. Granted I will do more research on that product, look at reviews, call or email said maker of the product and solicit their advice on what I should do. My due dilligence will always be exhausted before I return a product. I hate having to return things no matter what it is!!

Does your 1000 dollar laptop or 500 dollar phone work 100% of the time??? Or has it crashed even once??

No offense but I don't get where people get these high expectations... Remember it's a 60 dollar chip I think it delivers 60 dollars worth of performance ... The rest of the perceived cost is the makers markup minus cost..

This! 100%agree, Every iPhone I've ever had(all of them) has had issues at some point. Just buy back up if it's that important that you can't live without it for a wk. I'll be buying 2 more Monday.:toast:

Hey All
I got my rDNA30 yesterday and at the same the LG batteries (whoop!) All was/is seeming to work perfectly. I know I'm preaching to the choir but in the words of the legend Mickey Dolenz "I'm a Believer"!

I do have one question. I'm using a real deal Magma and put on a single coil 26 ga Kanthal that metered at .8. Using rayon and juiced up the device reads .7 running at 14.8watts. But, what does it mean when the ohm indicator continues to blink. It doesn't change numbers, stays on .7, but blinks. The battery is only down a little from full. First time this has happened. Is this something that's normal and has been happening and I'm only now noticing?

Again, apologies for asking what's probably been answered before.

Thanks y'all!

Only time mine does that is when I build around .5 or .6 and the wattage is low, goes away when I bump up the watts.

Try bumping it up to 22 watts.

It's funny, as soon as I posted that I checked and it had stopped blinking. O.k. 22 watts and it's stable. And pretty hot so, put it on the large holes and opened both sides. It's magnificent. I DO dig this thing a lot.

Thanks Vince and Heespharm. Appreciate the help!

Good deal, I am using a .6ohm coil at 26.5 watts on the rDNA30. A while ago I downloaded an OHM's law app and it helped me a lot when trying to find the right wattage. Bump the wattage down or up until you find the sweet spot.

DNA 30 chips cant downregulate. They will fire; however they'll fire at the available voltage giving you a Higher wattage than set.
it doesn't damage anything that's just its way of letting you know.
that said im pretty sure a lot of people have flashing dna30 boards: )

If you do blow up the cat- a little bit of rice and gravy can make anything tasty
