looks like its monday for us buds.

Interesting. I'd wager that VS only shipped out maybe 50-100 of these today.

I was order # 100062860 and my order officially went through at 1:14am EST. I was online at midnight like most folks, but the website issues they had made it impossible for anyone to complete their purchase. I can't believe that very many folks got through before me since I was hitting F5 continually for the entire hour and fifteen minutes it took to get the site to accept my payment.

has anyone played with wiring up a Kanger Subtank with Nickel using temp control on a rDNA40?

Built with 26g Ni 3mm 12 wraps and set at 450F at 30W. Good flavour and thick clouds. Also twisted 32g dual Ni wires and single 32g Kanthal at 9 wraps 3mm gives 0.22 ohms. Gives better flavour but tad bit lesser clouds still good.

Best things about the tank are solid ohms with no fluctuations at all and ease of refill without taking atomizer off mod so ohms don't change between refills. And on top of that absolutely zero leaks. Also wicks 60vg juice so well that sometimes makes me wonder do we actually need dry hit control.

Thanks for the very useful ideas! - If I were wanting to run this at 400 F limit, what would I vary from your previous recipe? - I only use 100% VG juice if that makes any difference.

uhm, is it just me or is the battery indicator somewhat silly? Not that I get to look at the screen often since it's on the bottom. But i can feel the vape getting very weak long before it starts shouting low batt. So it seems to fire weaker and weaker, instead of letting me know the battery is getting weak. Anybody have any tips here? Guess I should try to look at the screen every now and then on this battery to see if the indicator goes anywhere. So far I've just enjoyed not caring or paying attention to a single thing and just vaped and vaped till nothing more comes out of the tank. The simplicity and failsafes of this device is gonna make me stupid. :tumble:

This is the explanation from Vapor Shark on their Facebook page for the odd battery indicator display:

Vapor Shark Hello Josh, The metering happens in real time only when the device is firing. If you are using a nickel coil and temperature control, you will notice that the meter will behave a bit erratically. Here is why, it is giving you a forecast of remaining battery life based on the last wattage level the device was outputting. Let's say you have a ni200 coil set to 420 degrees and 35 watts. At the beginning of the draw you will likely be close to 35 watts but as the coil comes to temperature the wattage level will be reduced to let's say 6 watts. When you let off the fire button the last wattage output was 6 watts and the battery meter is reflecting a remaining battery life forecast for 6 watts not the 35 watts. That is why, after 16 hours of use, you're still seeing a full battery. You can get an accurate reading if you just let the Wattage spike for the first second and then looking at the meter.

Tip: When it starts to fire weaker your battery is getting low!!!

Also the DNA 40 by design will always try to give some vapor, a limp home mode so to speak. I like that.

But I don't notice it firing weaker, I just get a punch in the face when I finally swap batteries. haha. will have to look at the screen a little more, and give it a little 1sec push to let it do a new "forecast"

Edit: when you guys mention it, I do remember reading and seeing it on various youtube clips. Been too long between that and getting the mod.
