This is the one which has been shipped on Friday. And continued to be hereon:

The screens are larger, both in physical size and text display. However, the dimensions of the rDNA40 (device) remain the same.

Q, feature #5 is "No mounting rails," but it looks from the picture as if both those boards have mounting rails... ?

Went for a walk with my dog as usual this morning. He decided to get tangled in some brambles, and while rescuing him, my rDNA40 fell out my pocket onto stony ground. It now has some custom paint chips to give it some character :-( Oh well no other problems and it fared way better than my Nautilus which just shattered!

New steel tank is inbound, but still can't seem to pull the trigger on a sharkskin, I just like these guys naked ...

I've been using mine with the sharkskin since I got it and I'm not too crazy about it but it does protect the rDNA. I have one on my DNA30 too.

I would prefer not to have to use the Sharkskin either, but I just don't trust the paint otherwise. I especially hate it when my atty drips juice down into the Sharkskin and I have to remove it for cleanup...it gets much more messy having to take the thing off.

Thanks for your comments, I thought about it some more and just ordered a couple of sharkskins. I not so worried about the rDNA40, I've already messed that up, but I want to keep my Gunmetal rDNA30 in good shape as I can't easily replace that now there're not made anymore.

Now I've just got to decide whether to upgrade the rDNA30 with a DNA40 or just order one of the new rDNA40 with the bigger screen. Decision, decisions, ...

There will be a Co-Op soon for both the small and big screen versions of the DNA40. Check the Co-Op planning forum and keep your eyes peeled on the Active Co-Op forum.

I have Vaporskinz (Ecig Skins - Mod Skins - Custom Ecigarette Skins) on both my VS DNA30 and my rDNA30. They are vinyl wraps, and with a bit of a hair dryer, they form very nicely to the devices. I got the Mamba textured ones (e.g., Black Mamba VAPOR SHARK rDNA30 – Vapor Skinz) -- have a very nice feel to them and they do a great job covering up the dings I had on the devices.

I just checked their site -- they are offering 25% off thru Jan 7th -- with discount code of "NEWYEAR".

I say go with another one. I bought a DNA30 to compliment the rDNA40 and I have others that I play with to modify but don't rely on.

Good call.

I love my VS-DNA30. Use it everyday, carry it everywhere. It is a far better device in the [ever so popular] iStick form factor. Better on both counts ~ build quality as well as reliability.

With the current pricing there's no better APV in the market in this quality profile imho. And I thus seriously feel everyone should grab one till they can. It is a dinky li'l dependable fella!

Ps.: Nearly a year in use - not a single speck, smear, ding or scratch except for where the atty rests.

completely agree, except now I am hopelessly addicted to temperature protection, for both vape consistency and health - it's like anything else, you better not try it, or you just can't go back!

will there be a little VS-DNA40 version?
