#2 was a "no brainer" cybermonday for $152.

#2's new finish, large screen and the fabulous zip charge makes it damn near perfect!!

Kiwi....I agree...I'd love a 40 squonker but the only ones I've seen are the plastic ones you have to build or really expensive and hard to get.

The day when a nice accessible, reasonably priced and commercially available dna40 squonker comes along...... End game.

Sounds like vapor flask is coming out with a squonker. Not sure what the price will be though.

Now that the backlog is about taken care of, I'm seriously considering ordering a second... It's not that I don't like the one I have or that there's anything wrong with it, but I'm constantly changing toppers and I'd prefer to just grab either my dripper setup, or my tank...

is this crazy?

I bought two, I'm like you, I don't like changing attys....which is why I have two-four of each mod I buy---:)

A .... load. Lol. I've also owned 3 flasks before and I would never buy one again. Ever.

Lol. I'm sure they will be spendy. Only used one once and I really wasn't impressed with the shape in my hand. Felt odd that it was curved.

Super curious as to why... genuinely. I'll be picking up a flask as soon as the next revision drops... but i was also looking at a rDNA for more of an out on the town "beater" If you could even call a VS a beater lol.

Kiwi can go into more detail but from what I recall he had one issue after another which made him owning a flask not the pleasurable experience others were having.

Personally I think you stand a 50/50 chance of getting one that's flawless or jacked up. I've never had or used one- my opinion is merely based on all the reading I do here & other forums.

Ah... i wonder if they were DNA40s... seems like Vapor Flask's been at 9% malfunction on the DNA 40 boards i believe.

Kiwi - Were there other issues besides the known battery fitment and inherent DNA40 problems? I've always found the hardware to be far beyond anything from any other manufacturer. Immaculate precision and finish.

After a week using the Vapor Shark rDNA40, I have to say I'm impressed. I was really expecting some problems, but it's been solid so far. Even wrapping Ni200 hasn't been as horrific as I had been worried it would be when reading posts and hearing about the experience others had. I learned the hard way about not getting them glowing then trying to squeeze them like Kanthal, but after that it's been a breeze.

While Ni200 is softer than Kanthal, it's really not too bad to work with if you are careful.

Wrapping spaced coils around a machine screw makes it super easy! I know it has been posted many times before, but I can't thank whoever thought of that enough.

Overall, my rDNA40 (the last version without zip charging or larger screen) has been solid. Very impressed. And after looking at the other DNA40 chipped mods, I think it's the best deal as well!

I've had mine for 2 months and I've had no issues. In fact it made me buy a DNA30 as a backup. I've bought a couple of other mods (Hana mini clone and Cloupor Mini) and I always go back to my rDNA40. TP is amazing. I bought 4 DNA40 boards to install in a few boxes I have including the Hana mini and hopefully the Cloupor Mini.
