Variable Power - Best Vape question

Hi guys, what would give the best vape, for example, say we have 2 heads, 1.8ohm and 2.4ohm, and a VV device, vaping at 8 watts.

With the 1.8ohm (LR) head we would need about 3.8 volts to get an 8 watt vape.
With the 2.4ohm (SR) head we would need about 4.4 volts to get an 8 watt vape.

Which would be the best vape for flavour/TH/vapor out of those two? Is it better to use higher volt higher resistance or lower volt lower resistance for the optimal vape?

You should be OK with either resistance head using the voltages you indicate. They will vape about the same. There won't be a whole lot of difference between them. I say try both & see the difference for yourself. I tend to vape at about 9.5 - 10 watts myself & I use 2.4 or 2.8 ohm heads on my ProVari & Zmax.

thanks for the reply, I only have a spinner so am limited to 4.8 volts, which gives me a total 9.6 watts limit on a standard res 2.4ohm head but will use the battery a bit too quickly, only 900mah. Need a VAMO haha!

I have wondered this same thing, if there was any advantage (or difference even) in a high voltage/high resistance combo, versus low/low. ...other than battery life.

battery life, that is it a high V highR combo uses less amperage and therefor in theory the battery should last longer.

i say do it the old fashion way, turn the dial and vape until it vapes good. there is no one setting for all

It probably depends on the juice a little and if it's a dripping atty or tank carto or clearomizer

It can start getting real interesting with handmade coils. The length and gauge of the coil will change some variables, heat up time & surface area come to mind.

But stock heads/atomizers/cartomizers are generally consistent looking coils at the least (though experience has shown me otherwise).

lol aint that the truth, find me 10 out of 100 nova heads that actually read whats printed on them.

Ive just started toying with rebuildables on mechanicle apv. When making my coils, I've been aiming for wattage based off the 3.7v and resistance. Is thos the right idea? I only have 36 gauge kenthal and have been issues with burning it out when aiming for 8-10 watts. Is this an issue with the wire or simply a limitation on my apv since it doesnt have any protection circuitry?
