Why not just buy the tube then the AW's..although from what I've been reading there is no real AW battery as they are just made by other manufacturers..most likely one of the issues getting batteries like these is a lot of manufacturers won't sell these kinds of battery to the public..if you knew what battery pack they were sold in you probably could buy really high quality Panasonic's and just take them out of the pack..but they may or may not have the right button on them...

Darnit :/ I thought they were the original makers of the LT, would think they sold the Mini, unless that was L-Rider.

From what I understand, Volcano had the exclusive U.S. rights to the LT from L-Rider. Volcano never "made" anything. They had the rights to the name Lavatube as well. Once their exclusive ran out, L-Rider could sell them to any U.S. vendor, hence all the other names for the same unit. Not sure when the mini came into the picture, but I suspect it was after Volcano's exclusive deal expired. It's also possible that Volcano just decided not to handle the mini at all, so L-Rider never made them available in the U.S. until their contract expired.

I'm pretty sure that volcano sells the Lavatube kits with AW 1600mah batteries. I have nevet used any of the flat top batteries just to be safe.

Yep, Vocano uses AW batteries. They had a batch of counterfeits at one point, but that's been rectified. Personally, it wouldn't matter at all to me. I'd rather pay less $$ and get one with a better warranty and extras from somewhere else. The Panasonic batteries you can get from smartvapes or orbtronic are better than the AWs anyway.

Yeah, as far as Panasonics go, I know for sure they're better. However, since i'm keen on getting a Mini Provari in the near future, I was hoping to get a Mini LT for the time being. I know the Mini Provari uses AW IMRs, so I was hoping for a smooth (read: less costly) change.

With that said, that is why i'm selling my 3 Panasonic CGR18650CH batteries in the classifieds right now.
